Intersectional feminist platform & global movement for inclusive participation of young women in politics.

About us

Politics4Her is an intersectional feminist platform & global youth-led movement advocating for the inclusive participation of young women and girls in politics, civil society, and decision-making processes. Politics4Her is a movement driven by the belief that young women and girls hold the power to create a more equitable and just world. Our platform is a place where every girl and woman can be heard, valued and recognized as an agent of change. We are driven by the conviction that intersectional feminism is not just a theory, but a powerful tool for dismantling systems of oppression and creating a world where every individual can flourish. We recognize the challenges that young women and girls face when it comes to accessing political power and leadership roles, and we are committed to breaking down those barriers by providing them with the resources, skills, and networks and develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to thrive as agents of change. What makes Politics4Her so special is its commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusivity in all aspects of its work. At the heart of Politics4Her's mission is the belief that everyone deserves a seat at the table and a voice in shaping the policies and decisions that affect their lives. By promoting gender equality, intersectionality, and social justice, Politics4Her seeks to create a more equitable and inclusive world for all.

Zine4Her: Day 2/16 Trigger warning: sexual assault "Thoughts of a Woman Who Was Once a Fourteen-Year-Old Girl" is a personal essay about the time author Aniya Grillo Riccelli realized she was sexually assaulted. It is a story she wishes to share so that women like her realize they are not alone and, above all, so that little girls know that it is okay to speak out loud.   Follow the Zine4Her campaign to read more pieces created by women who inspire us with their resilience during these 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. #Politics4Her #16daysofactivism #16days #Endgenderbasedviolence #WomenWhoInspire #Feminism

Today marks the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. This year we're collaborating with incredible women around the world who are utilizing art and storytelling as a way to share their lived experiences, as well as amplify why it's important to erradicate GBV. Each day, we'll be sharing a different piece from our digital Zine that centers around GBV, and at the end of the 16 days, we'll share the full digital Zine. #Politics4Her #16daysofactivism #endGBV #Zine #Feminism #AmplifyWomensVoices #StandTogether

Today, I came across a flood of comments from older (mostly white) women criticizing the age limit for our space at Politics4Her, calling it "exclusionary." Let me be clear: I intentionally created this space for young women and gender-diverse individuals because we are a group consistently sidelined, dismissed, and condescended to in decision-making spaces. Young people deserve our own spaces to mobilize, strategize, and lead, free from the constant refrain of "you should listen to me because I’m older." We are done with the ageism, the gatekeeping, and the patronizing attitudes. Creating a youth-centered space isn’t an attack on anyone, it's a response to the very real barriers we face daily. As young women and gender-diverse individuals, we already deal with enough. From climate anxiety to online gender-based violence, to challenges unique to our generation, our plates are full. The last thing we need is older women piling on, labeling us "anti-feminist" for creating a space that prioritizes our needs and experiences. What’s next? Will we be told we can’t have women x gender-diverse spaces because it’s "excluding men"? The self-centeredness of these criticisms is genuinely mind-blowing. Intergenerational partnerships are valuable, but they’re not a free pass to undermine or dominate youth-led initiatives. Young people deserve autonomy, respect, and platforms where we can organize, create, and lead in our own way. Supporting us isn’t "exclusionary", it’s the bare minimum for allyship. Let us lead without adding to the already heavy load we carry. #RespectYouthSpaces

Every 10 minutes, a woman loses her life to violence—a devastating reminder of the systemic failures that allow everyday violence against marginalized genders to go ignored. This year, Politics4Her Asia Hub joins the UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign for 16 Days of Activism. From November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day), we’ll amplify intersectional voices and highlight the structural changes needed to end gender-based violence. This includes addressing violence faced by women, nonbinary, transgender, and gender-diverse individuals who are disproportionately impacted by systemic oppression. Stay tuned for our special podcast series featuring feminists and changemakers who are working to disrupt these systems and hold decision-makers accountable. Together, we demand action. #NoExcuse #UNiTE2024 #16DaysOfActivism #EndGBV #Politics4Her #IntersectionalFeminism #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #EndViolenceAgainstAllGenders #HumanRights #FeministVoices

The devastation in Lebanon has been mounting since the pager attack on September 23, 2024. More than 2,083 people have lost their lives, among them 127 children and 261 women. The country is continuously at the center of Israel's attacks. Let us advocate fiercely for the rights of those who suffer the most, the women raising their voices for peace, and the children who deserve a future free from the cycle of war. Let us not allow their struggles to be forgotten, nor their cries for help to go unanswered. #Politics4Her #Lebanon #HumanRights #WomensRights #Stoptheviolence
