We're proud to partner with EDPR NA Distributed Generation on this 3.4 MWac facility that's bringing renewable energy to over 400 local residents and businesses across southern Maine. Energized in December, this project is now providing guaranteed monthly savings to subscribers! This achievement brings significant benefits to the local community, including providing an estimated $140,000 in annual electricity savings, generating more than $123,000 in local tax revenue, and creating over 40 construction jobs. This project represents a crucial step toward building a more equitable and reliable clean energy grid, and we’re excited to keep working towards a just transition. We are incredibly grateful to the community for their support and partnership in making this possible. Last week at Urban Future Lab was a powerful reminder of why we started this journey—the belief that local communities hold the key to transforming our energy future. Hearing diverse industry perspectives on tackling grid limitations reinforced an important truth: in these uncertain times, our greatest power lies in working together. A huge thank you to the panelists from Institute for Policy Integrity at NYU School of Law, Solar United Neighbors, and NY Green Bank, as well as Brym and the Urban Future Lab team for hosting this insightful discussion. Stay tuned—more conversations and events are on the horizon as we look to continue growing support for clean energy solutions, like community solar.

🌞This was a big week for the City of Long Beach🌞 The city council voted to enroll 470 of their municipal accounts into PowerMarket's community solar program! 🎉 This is a monumental shift towards a sustainable future! By switching this portion of their energy demand, they're setting a powerful example for cities nationwide and proving that Californians want community solar options. This initiative not only aligns with Long Beach’s ambitious climate goals but also brings significant savings. The city will save an estimated $35,000 annually, demonstrating that achieving climate goals doesn't have to come with costs. What's even more exciting? Long Beach residents and other SCE customers who don’t have rooftop solar can also enroll in this program. This inclusive approach ensures that everyone in the community can contribute to and benefit from a cleaner, greener future. Check the comments for a link to sign up. Shout out to Jason Kaplan, the incredible Long Beach Sustainability Team, and the dedicated Long Beach City council and Mayor for making this possible. #CommunitySolar #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #CleanEnergy #LongBeach #PowerMarket #ClimateAction
