At the S3 Community of Practice Conference in Rimini on December 12-13, 2024, the Innovation Business Observatory of Crete Region (IBO) team members - Christos Bilios, Emmanouela-Petrogianni, and Eirini Patsiali - shared the success innovation story of the Region of Crete. They highlighted PRECISEU's significant impact on European personalized healthcare ecosystems. Acknowledgments to fellow panelists Cristian Otgon, Karolina Tilman, Susana Elena-Perez, PhD, and Daniela Ferrara for their valuable contributions and engaging discussions on shaping innovation across Europe.

We are thrilled to have been mentioned in the Publication Office of the #EU regarding the New European Innovation Agenda. The #NewEuropeanInnovationAgenda supports Europe in addressing societal challenges, developing new technologies and bringing them to market. The #RegionalInnovationValleys (RIVs) initiative is one of 25 New European Innovation Agenda actions. It aims to harness the full innovation potential across Europe, connecting less and more innovative regions and addressing social challenges through cutting-edge technology. Funded under the European Innovation Ecosystems (#HorizonEurope), PRECISEU connects innovation ecosystems across Europe for truly personalised medicine (PM). It will help transfer practices and solutions from one region to another and scale up deep-tech healthcare innovations based on two enablers: health data (accessible, ethical and interoperable) and advanced therapies medicinal products (ATMPs), a groundbreaking class of innovative medicines, such as gene therapy medicine, delivering targeted treatments and, ideally, curing diseases. There is no better way to conclude the event than what Ann Van Gysel, CEO of MEDVIA stated: “The future of health: I truly believe that is what’s happening here at this Summit.
