What's next for the life sciences sector in 2025? After a slowdown in development from COVID-era boom times, the life sciences real estate space is poised for a transformation based on the integration of artificial intelligence, space management and top-tier facility placements. Project Management Advisors Vice President Adam Enright spoke with Commercial Property Executive about how the adoption of AI is necessitating the creation of laboratory facilities with significant storage requirements. “Space needs for dry labs and computing labs will likely be greater than traditional needs. While we haven’t seen marked increases yet, we do anticipate that companies are still learning how to leverage AI—and it is only a matter of time,” he said.
