Cybersecurity is at the heart of resilient Electric Power and Energy Systems (EPES). The R2D2 project  Self-Assessment Tool, a key component of PRECOG product (Prevention Systems for Energy Infrastructures Security), is designed to help EPES operators identify vulnerabilities, assess supply chain risks, and enhance security practices.   📽️ This video captures a session from the R2D2 Plenary Meeting in Paris (November 2024), led by Cyber Noesis  George Aslanidis , and Kostas Papadatos. 👏 Today, our colleague Aleksandra Krkoleva presented findings from the R2D2 project on the regulatory and legislative outlook for power systems as critical infrastructure. She emphasized the methodology used to identify gaps in legislation and standards, which are then validated with pilot sites during the demonstration phase. Exciting Progress at the R²D² Project! As the R2D2 project enters its final year ⏳, the consortium convened in Paris on November 19-20, for a critical Plenary Meeting to advance plans for scaling and implementing its tools and technologies. Hosted by RTE Réseau de Transport d'Electricité , this gathering focused on assessing the progress of innovations and refining plans for implementing the project’s use cases across its four pilot sites (Serbia, Greece, Spain, and Slovenia). This milestone meeting addressed vital project areas, including dissemination strategies, tool integration, deployment, and the validation of solutions. Special emphasis was placed on the demonstration activities for use cases.  In addition, the project has made significant progress in standardization and recommendations by identifying relevant legislation and standards for its products, along with challenges and gaps for compliance and operation. A dedicated session 🗣️ , led by Cyber Noesis, highlighted the importance of addressing cybersecurity in energy systems. During this session, partners were introduced to the Self-Assessment Tool, as part of the #PRECOG product.  RTE enriched the meeting by inviting 🗣️ Boris DOLLEY, an expert on Open Source, who provided an inspiring workshop on the value of open-source principles in software development.  Finally, key discussions focused on exploitation strategies 🚀, fine-tuning the identification of Key Exploitable Results (KERs), and planning the next steps, including scalability studies and roadmap development.  Stay tuned for more updates as R²D² moves closer to achieving its ambitious goals!
