What does it mean to truly thrive as a young person in West Africa? 🌍✨ As we reflect on the year, we’re excited to revisit and share one of our publications from earlier this year done in collaboration with The Fund for Global Human Rights: LIVELY-HOODS, In Between Youth Livelihoods and Human Rights in West Africa. 📖 This learning agenda weaves together stories, reflections, and questions from our co-researchers, inspired by virtual sessions and our in-person gathering in Conakry, Guinea, in 2023. 'What Move Movements' was an inquiry process with 8 UK social movements, and commissioned by The Lankellychase Foundation and accompanied by Recrear. Ultimately it was a journey about what it means to be vulnerable in philanthropy and movement building and the work we need to do to truly strengthen and heal movement-funder relationships. The publication tells this story and offers tools to navigate the power dynamics, the hyper-productivity culture and the struggle to be vulnerable through our difficult moments of change.
