  • Meet Recurve at the California Efficiency + Demand Management Council’s Fall Conference! Carmen Best will join Sealed's Andy Frank and Coby Rudolph from the California Public Utilities Commission for a spirited discussion on how traditional cost-effectiveness tests could be updated and redefined to better align energy efficiency with decarbonization goals. This is a critical topic as regulators shift from a compliance to a resource paradigm that shifts incentives from low- or no-cost measures to the deep retrofits necessary for building decarbonization. Session 2: Redefining Cost-Effectiveness: Aligning Energy Efficiency with Decarbonization Goals November 7th 11:20 am-12:20 pm Register here: https://lnkd.in/eU3_c4K Recurve CEO Zach Robin and Senior Manager of Strategic Accounts Shelby Bush, CSM, PMP will also be attending the conference. They look forward to connecting and learning about your current challenges and opportunities affecting energy efficiency, demand management, decarbonization, electrification, finance, and equity. Reach out directly to Carmen, Zach, or Shelby to set up a meeting. We look forward to connecting with you! #energyefficiency #demandmanagement #CEDMC #decarbonization #electrification

  • To continue delivering affordable and reliable electricity to ratepayers, utilities need to address a number of interrelated challenges. Load growth, retiring capacity, the need to integrate renewables, and increasing reliability risks from extreme weather all put pressure on grid infrastructure and operations. Virtual power plants (VPPs) are uniquely suited to address these challenges. Power Shift, the latest study from VP3 and RMI, demonstrates how VPPs can enable renewable integration, cut net generation costs, reduce the need for new gas capacity, and potentially save ratepayers hundreds of dollars per year through avoided T&D costs. Maximizing the impact of VPPs, however, requires updated approaches to grid planning and operations, according to the study. Recurve’s FLEX platform facilitates these new approaches, enabling the efficient deployment, validation, and optimization of demand flexibility and virtual power plant resources with actionable intelligence from hourly impact modeling and intervention forecasting. Read the VP3 study to learn more about how to maximize the potential of VPPs: https://lnkd.in/gThcH5SF Contact us to schedule a platform demo to see how FLEX can enable your utility's next generation of demand flexibility solutions. https://lnkd.in/g4hCG-PR Avery McEvoy, EIT  #virtualpowerplants #VP3 #VPPs #gridsolutions #demandflexibility
