SEAOCC October Dinner Meeting Recap: ASCE 7-22 Critical Geotechnical Updates We had a fantastic turnout last week at the Old Spaghetti Factory for SEAOCC's October dinner meeting. Attendees gathered for a presentation on everything we need to know about the upcoming changes in ASCE 7-22, particularly the critical geotechnical updates for seismic design criteria. Pedro Espinosa, GE, and David Teague, PhD, GE, from ENGEO provided an in-depth look at the latest advancements in geotechnical earthquake engineering and what we, as structural engineers, should be mindful of as we transition into the next code cycle. The night wasn’t just about technical learning—there was great conversation amongst colleagues, topped off with a delicious dinner! A big thank you to Pedro and David for sharing their expertise, and to everyone who made the evening such a success. We’re excited for future dinner meetings and hope to see even more members next time! Stay tuned for details on our next event. #SEAOCC #Weseeaboveandbeyond #structuralengineering
