SEASALT Europe

2024 has been a year of 💙 great additions to our SEASALT Europe family . A year in which we have attended numerous events in Spain and Europe, both in the salt and environmental sectors. Highlights included our meeting with Elena Panichi, Head of Unit Organics at the European Commission, our attendance at the IFOAM Organics Europe in the Organic Congress 2024 in Budapest and our meeting with Mr. Kamil Maj at the European Parliament. 🏡 In addition, we hosted our first SEASATL Europe Annual Meeting in Ibiza in the company of our members and partners, ✈️ we actively participated in one of the workshops of the IFOAM - Organics International World Congress 2024 in Taiwan and our President Gonzalo Diaz Caicoya, presented our association at the #SaltForum2024 in Abu Dhabi. With all these moments in our memory, we close a year full of gratitude and with the desire to continue working actively in the European salt sector. ✈️ SEASALT Europe was pleased that Lidia Aldeguer Morales and María Dolores Serrano Cayuelas represented us at the 21st IFOAM - Organics International World Congress in Taiwan last week. It was a pleasure to participate 🌍 in the world's largest event for the organic sector. From November 18 to 20, Gonzalo Diaz Caicoya, President of SEASALT Europe, represented European sea salt producers at the Salt Forum 2024 in Abu Dhabi. In his presentation, titled "SEASALT Europe: Challenges & Opportunities of a Unique Industry", he emphasized the need for sea salt to have its own dedicated representation in Europe, highlighting the unique values and challenges of this industry within the global market. His key message resonated strongly: "We are a humble association, created to serve with courage." The SEASALT Europe team is departing for Taiwan! 🌍María Dolores Serrano Cayuelas and Lidia Aldeguer Morales are going straight to the @ORGANIC WORLD CONGRESS 2024 #OWC2024 to participate 📅 on Tuesday 3 December with the presentation "Sea salt in the European Ecological Regulation." Lidia Aldeguer will be in charge of ⚪ this workshop in which we will explore the sea salt situation, the evolution of ecological standards and new initiatives to define and measure sustainability.
