The panel ‘Breaking Barriers, Building Futures: Accessibility in Innovation’ from the ASU+GSV Summit is now available with American Sign Language by SignUp. I was part of the panel with Jenny Lay-Flurrie (Vice President, Chief Accessibility Officer, Microsoft), Matt Greenfield (Managing Partner, Rethink Education), Sunil Gunderia (Chief Innovation Officer, Age of Learning), hosted by Meredith Rosenberg (Co-Founder and Partner, NU Advisory Partners). As any Swiftie will tell you, 13 is a pretty enchanting number. It’s March 13th, and SignUp is delighted to launch a new project we have been working on — SignUp YouTube. In addition to Disney+ and Netflix, SignUp can now provide sign language interpretation for content on YouTube. We are very proud of this step in providing even more accessibility to the Deaf community. We are really excited about the possibilities of SignUp YouTube. Please get in touch if you would like your YouTube content made accessible. We are particularly keen to work with and support educators in presenting educational content. Who better to kick off this preview of SignUp YouTube than Taylor Swift with her beautiful acoustic set of ‘The Man,’ ‘Lover,’ ‘Death By a Thousand Cuts,’ and ‘All Too Well’? One of the more intimate shows Swift has performed and interpreted into American Sign Language (ASL) by Noelle Wilder. The set was recorded as part of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts. SignUp, a free-of-charge Google Chrome Extension, provides a pop-up window with a sign language interpreter signing.
