To date, the Turkey Trot has raised over $12 million for local nonprofits that provide services to families in need including the Healthier Kids Foundation, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County, and The Health Trust. San Jose State University hosted a responsible AI conference featuring experts from SVLG member Google and IBM, focusing on how to develop and use AI tools responsibly in education while fostering innovation in Silicon Valley. Experts who attended emphasized that AI should evolve from being merely an answering tool to becoming a teaching and learning engine.
