📍 SAR International Research Conference: April 3-6, 2025 Newport Beach, CA, USA 🎯 Cultivating Interconnections of Acupuncture and Traditional East Asian Medicine Research https://lnkd.in/eFPxdYP #SAR2025CA Conference is an exceptional platform to present the state of the science of basic, translational, and clinical research in #acupuncture and Traditional East Asian Medicine (TEAM). As we make progress in acupuncture and TEAM science, this conference will facilitate discussion of new research methods and findings and inform future directions of TEAM research. Additionally, it will promote the timely and equitable dissemination and implementation of emerging evidence in diverse clinical settings. The event will be co-sponsored by the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute at the UC Irvine. #SAR2025CA will highlight four symposia: 1️⃣ Improving Health Equity in Chronic Diseases Through TEAM Research and Clinical Care; 2️⃣ Implementation of Complementary Health Approaches into Health Care; 3️⃣ Acupuncture for Chronic Pain: From Lab to Clinic and Society; 4️⃣ Multi-Methods Research to Increase Evidence-base for Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine in Oncology 👉 As in past SAR conferences, there will also be high-quality presentations of original research (e.g. basic, translational, clinical trials, dissemination and implementation science) in TEAM (e.g. acupuncture, herbs, Tai Chi, Tui Na massage) as well as member-initiated symposia and workshops on research methods, research training, and dissemination of research findings – all with a focus on addressing how the presented research may be useful to practitioners interested in evidence-based practice. 👋 We look forward to seeing you in April 2025 in Newport Beach, California!

📍Reminder: the SAR AI & Digital Health SIG meeting is tomorrow - Friday, Dec 6th, at 10:00am EST (please check your timezone). https://lnkd.in/ewzJHMfg 👉 if you are not a member yet, there's still time to join ✨ On the agenda, there are updates about: - The strategic implementation project; - Drafting of the next manuscript; - The core data standards subgroup (we had meetings with the TARA project to see where we can collaborate); 🤝 Moving forward, we have identified the need to gain broader insight into how acupuncturists are currently documenting their work. To address this, we plan to initiate a survey in collaboration with other associations, and we would like to invite SIG members to participate in developing the survey items, discussing the results, and exploring co-authorship opportunities. We will work on these items together during our upcoming meeting. See you all tomorrow!! 🙌✨

⌛️ LAST CHANCE! Deadline is October 28, 2024 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e2R7g2-G 👉 We are seeking to identify the most important and noteworthy articles published in the Academic Year 2023-2024. 🤔 What’s ‘important’? 💡 Anything that carried meaningful real-life implications for you, our main stakeholder constituencies: researchers, practitioners, students and patients of acupuncture and herbal medicine, as well as health care providers, patient advocates, and administrators who make decisions about patient care individually or in the aggregate. ✍️ The survey is super short – just four queries – title/author, why you thought the paper was interesting/important, what stakeholder groups you belong to, and whether you want to participate in voting for next year’s paper. (You can fill it out as many times as you like if you have more than one favorite paper).
