Increasing awareness & recognition of the quality & diversity of Sonoma County’s grapes and wines for our 1800+ growers.
About us
The Sonoma County Winegrape Commission, also known as Sonoma County Winegrowers, was established in 2006 as a marketing and educational organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Sonoma County as one of the world’s premier grape growing regions. SCW has oversight by California Department of Food and Agriculture which supports producer regions. With more than 1,800 growers, SCWC’s goal is to increase awareness and recognition of the quality and diversity of Sonoma County’s grapes and wines through dynamic marketing and educational programs targeted to wine consumers around the world. In January 2014, SCW committed to becoming the nation’s first 100% sustainable winegrowing region by 2019.

Harvest 2024 has officially ended in Sonoma County, and there’s a collective agreement across the wine community that this may be one of the best vintages we've seen in years! For the second time, we brought together growers and vineyard teams from across the county to share insights and stories, capturing what makes harvest such a special time of year for them in our bilingual harvest recap video. With favorable weather, the season followed a more typical harvest schedule, bringing a beautiful crop that has both growers and winemakers excited for the upcoming vintage. "It was a very smooth, high-quality, and fast-paced harvest. It started and stopped without any incidents to remember," noted Bret Munselle, Owner of Munselle Vineyards and SCW Board Chair. Join us as we reflect on this memorable season through the voices of our dedicated farmers and vineyard employees. Click the link below to watch the video and read the full press release.
