TalentNet Media specializes in spotting the fails in your recruitment process and fixing them with process improvements, recruitment marketing, employer branding, and smart technology consulting. We also train corporate recruiting and sales teams, host live events, radio shows, and chat forums. We help employers and recruiters worldwide to attract talent and customers with an inbound, more human approach. Our goal is to inspire recruiters and companies to create better employer and corporate brands by showcasing authentic and transparent culture—giving them the resources and confidence needed to source, attract, engage, and retain more of the right customers and talent to move their business forward. The TalentNet Live forum started as the first ever Twitter chat for recruiters debuting on April 28th, 2009. It was immediately popular and led to several live events. The first ever TalentNet Live unconference was held later that same year at Pepsico’s Frito-Lay campus in Plano, TX. We now host events all over the world, at major employers for both open and private audiences. And we produce virtual events for companies and organizations of all sizes.     Did you know that U.S. intelligence agencies are trailing the civilian workforce in diversity, with Less than 27% (and falling) of their employees coming from underrepresented groups. Compared to around 39% of the U.S. civilian labor force being diverse, it seems counterintuitive given the global nature of their business. In the latest episode of A Labor Market Minute, I discuss the need for global organizations to build diverse and inclusive workplaces—and the challenges that come with it. One key issue? Many industries, especially tech, face a lack of diversity in the talent pipeline. For example, only 22% of data engineering roles are filled by women, which makes achieving balanced shortlists difficult. Horsefly Analytics is helping companies address these challenges. In this episode, I share how one UK bank used Horsefly data to shift its hiring focus to more diverse locations, enabling them to better meet their DEI goals.
