We had our second studio workshop at The Station, where we continued on our songwriting class from October, volunteered with The Diaper Collective in Springdale, hosted a Nintendo Switch tournament at The Station, and hosted our first annual Teensgiving at The Center for Non-profits! Meet Vera Morales, one of our new board members! As a new board member of TASC, I'm reflecting on my personal connection to our mission. Growing up in Berthoud, CO, I often felt isolated as a Hispanic woman in a predominantly white community, with limited mentorship opportunities beyond Girl Scouts and 4-H. This experience fueled my passion for helping others reach their full potential—a core value that aligns perfectly with TASC's mission. In my free time, I love taking long walks, playing piano, traveling, and nurturing my plants. These activities bring me joy and balance, which I believe are essential for making a positive impact. While I’ve just joined the board, one of my most rewarding moments so far has been collaborating with Coletta to offer HR support. It’s fulfilling to share my experience and skills with a dedicated team. For anyone considering joining a non-profit board, I encourage you to choose an organization that resonates with your values. Take the time to understand the mission and expectations—it's a commitment that can truly make a difference. What excites me most about the future of TASC is our potential for growth.
