You know what you need to do, you just don't do it.
That is what I tell myself whenever I am unsure of what actions I need to take.
For example, If I wanted to speak with more apartment owners I would:
1. Call, text, email, DM the ones I have confirmed contact information. Actually do it.
2. For owners I dont have contact info for, I would research or pay someone to research and then do step 1.
3. If I wanted to improve my conversation rate, then I would measure and track which outreach produced the most contacts, then adjust my time and actions accordingly.
I see a ton of advice on LinkedIn that says everything that everyone already knows. The advice that really provides the value is the how IMO.
It breaks it down like:
1. Get a phone system to call these owners. I've used Hubspot, Ring Central, My Iphone, Dialpad, Readymode, Terrakotta.ai
2. Upload contact data with format: Name, Property Address, Notes, Phone 1, Phone 2
3. Ideally have VM drop or follow up text shortcuts (Beeftext or Text Blaze) to improve call cycle time. Terrakotta is my favorite for VM.
4. Have follow up tracking (Hubspot) to set automated follow up reminders depending on the outcome of the outreach. **This is the most important part**
5. Time-Block however many hours you need to hit your goals. Mine are speak to 25 people per day
I could have just said, "If you want to be successful in CRE make sure you call owners everyday and block out time to not be distracted", but no shit.
I resonate with people on LinkedIn that not only share the what but the how. If you can sprinkle in the why I think that's a bonus too.
Message to myself to break it down in simple steps when you are stuck.
And just do the work. ;)
