Meet Gwen Jackson. She has served the agency for more than half the time it has been around. During her tenure, she's seen the rise of women in leadership, growth in staffing numbers, and a change in wardrobe. This is the fourth of a series of videos released this year to celebrate TREC's 75th anniversary. We're proud to highlight some of the agency's history and people.

After combing through 1,100 complaints during his 11-year tenure with the Commission, TREC Chief Investigator Roy Minton wins Investigator of the Year for a second time. The first win was in 2019. Both recognitions, by the ARELLO® (Association of Real Estate License Law Officials), were given for Minton’s work in uncovering rental fraud. 🔍 See the details of one of his latest cases: https://lnkd.in/gxFrv_Dx

Your Questions Answered: In Texas, transaction coordinators and showing agents are frequently used by brokerages as part of their business model, but sometimes these models entail working for other brokerages. So, what are they allowed to do? 👥 If you are a licensed sales agent and you engage in brokerage activity while providing transaction coordinator services (even if inadvertent), you must get written authorization from your sponsoring broker first and only act within the scope of that authorization. 👥 If a licensed sales agent shows a property listed by another brokerage for compensation, the sales agent must obtain written authorization from the agent’s sponsoring broker prior to the showing. ➡️ More answers: https://lnkd.in/g4utNE7y

The 2025 form changes were adopted by the Commission during its November 4 meeting. They apply to all contract forms unless specified otherwise. ⏳ Keep in mind, the updated Condominium Resale Certificate (TREC No. 32-5) is a voluntary-use form. All remaining contract forms adopted by reference are available for voluntary use until January 3, 2025, when their use becomes mandatory. 🛑 TREC is not affiliated with third-party form vendors, including zipForm. Any questions related to when TREC forms will be available in zipForm should be directed to Texas Realtors or your other forms vendor. 📃 Review the list of changes: https://lnkd.in/gcHU-ZTj

Reminder: The first of three online outages is scheduled to start tomorrow. Be sure to plan ahead. 🚧 The plugs will be pulled starting 6 p.m. CT on Friday, November 8 through Monday, November 11. What does this mean? All systems, including the Online Licensing Services portal and the Posting System, will be down. 💬 Share this post. Your communications support can help license holders avoid unnecessary complications, particularly those who need to renew their license on or before November 30. 🚧 Details on the other planned outages: https://lnkd.in/gHXphjGD
