Why your business needs a Salary Sacrifice car scheme, and why choosing the right supplier is key ⚡️ If your company isn’t offering a salary sacrifice electric vehicle scheme yet, you are missing out on a win-win-win for your business, your employees, and the planet. But here’s the catch: choosing the right supplier is crucial, and I can help. Many providers charge high fees, leading to expensive monthly payments for employees. This often results in low uptake, meaning no financial or carbon savings for your business. When selecting a supplier there are a few things you should look for: ✅ Competitive Pricing: Ensure the scheme is genuinely affordable for employees. Note: the companies that come up on Google all price against each other, so look outside the inner circle. ✅ Strong Support: The right partner will guide both you and your employees through every step, from initial interest to delivery and beyond. With the right supplier in place, a salary sacrifice EV scheme can deliver huge benefits… Attraction & Retention: Offering an EV scheme is a powerful addition to your benefits package, helping to attract and retain top talent. Financial Benefits for the Business: Companies can reduce their National Insurance contributions, and with the right scheme, these savings can be significant. Sustainability Impact: Supporting the transition to EV’s can contribute to your company’s carbon reduction goals, boosting your green credentials. I have vetted the salary sacrifice industry, been burned myself stuck in an expensive lease in a previous role, and only work with the best provider for cost and service. If you’d like to know more about how to implement a cost-effective and impactful scheme, I’m here to help, pop me a DM. #salarysacrifice #salsac #employeebenefit #electriccar #electricvehicle #ev #evcharging #netzero #sustainability

Record EV sales at auction ⚡️ BCA has shattered its sales record for EV’s, selling nearly 1,000 units in just the first full week of January. Both electric cars and vans were prominently featured as the remarketing specialist kicked off its 2025 sales. In 2024, over 3,000 different buyers purchased EV’s from BCA, an impressive 35% increase from the previous year. The company is now on track to sell well over 40,000 units in the next 12 months, driven by the growing EV market. The surge in demand is fueled by consumer confidence and the increasing recognition of the value that used EVs offer. Many are now priced competitively with their ICE counterparts, making them an attractive option for buyers. Retail sales of used EV’s have also shown a strong start to the New Year, with rising consumer interest. The volume of electric vehicles entering the remarketing sector is doubling annually, and with the Department for Transport’s announcement that the Zero Emission Vehicle mandate will increase from 22% to 28% in 2025, the flow of used EVs is expected to keep rising. To support this growth, BCA introduced Battery Health Grading in October 2024, providing an unbiased tool for evaluating battery health on used EVs. Anoth clear sign that the EV market continues to rise, amidst an ocean of misinformation. #ev #usedev #electriccar #electricvehicle #netzero #sustainability #bca #carauction #greenerfuture

Stagecoach takes the lead in electric buses ⚡️ Stagecoach is taking a major step toward a greener future by introducing its first electric buses in Sunderland, marking an exciting milestone in the battle against climate change and air pollution. In partnership with Pelican Engineering Company (Sales) Limited, 20 state-of-the-art, zero-emission Yutong single-deckers will soon hit the E1, E2, and E6 routes, offering quieter, cleaner, and more accessible transport for passengers traveling between South Shields, Whitburn, and Sunderland. The The North East Combined Authority and the Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom Zero Emission Bus Regional Areas (ZEBRA) scheme are driving this transformation, with a £19.5m investment to decarbonise transport in the region. In total, 95 electric buses will join the local fleet by 2025, taking a significant leap toward a cleaner, greener public transport network. Steve Walker, MD of Stagecoach North East, highlighted the dual benefits of this initiative: “Zero-emission buses are better for the environment, for the quality of life in our communities, and for upskilling our teams for the future of transport.” North East Mayor Kim McGuinness also celebrated the progress, saying, “I pledged to make the North East the country’s greenest public transport network and we’re already delivering on that.” This is just the beginning: Stagecoach is on track to have 1,083 electric buses nationwide by 2026, with a commitment to achieving net-zero emissions across the UK by 2035. #emobility #electricbus #electriccar #publictransport #netzero #sustainability #greenerfuture Stagecoach Group Limited Stagecoach Bus David Sharp

A moment of silence for the anti EV brigade 🎻 November car registration data is out, and it makes for horrific reading for anyone relating lies online about electric vehicles. Market share has gone beyond 25% for electric cars. Electric car registrations are up 58.4% on last year. While petrol and diesel isn’t even hiding the fact it is dying anymore. What do we think? #electriccar #electricvehicle #ev #petrol #diesel #netzero #sustainability

Charging from home is a game changer ⚡️ One of the biggest perks of owning an electric vehicle, is the ability to charge it at home, and the Pod Point Solo 3S does the job perfectly. For me, it's been a game-changer in so many ways. Charging at home is incredibly cost effective. I can fully charge my Tesla Model Y for less than £5 using smart charging, which gives me enough range to last around a week. Compare that to fueling a petrol or diesel car, and the savings really add up. No more detours to petrol stations or waiting in line for a pump. I simply plug in at home overnight, and my car is ready to go by morning with a full battery. It's like waking up to a "full tank" whenever I need to. With the option to choose renewable energy tariffs, I know my home charging is not just cheaper, but also better for the environment. I can also charge my EV whenever it suits me, taking advantage of off-peak electricity rates for even lower costs. Smart charging features on the Pod Point app also make it easy to optimise charging times. For those considering an EV or curious about home charging, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s a seamless way to make EV ownership not just sustainable, but incredibly practical and affordable. If you’ve got questions about EV's, charging from home, or how to make the transition, feel free to connect or drop a message. Are you thinking about switching to an electric car, but feeling a bit nervous? Even "The EV Guy." has been there!  Going back five years, Jordan M tells us he remembers the excitement and nerves of owning his first EV. "At first, it’s a bit scary… Where do I charge? How long will it last?" But he also said that after a couple of weeks, you get the hang of it. With time, he discovered that his weekly routine was actually perfect for EV life.  Work commutes, family trips, weekend plans—they all fell into place once he learned his car’s range and found charging spots on his main routes.  Now? Jordan can’t imagine going back! Join us for live conversations like this on the next EV Owners Lounge. Wednesday 27th November at 1 pm GMT where we'll be discussing 2024 electric cars with Mr EV!
