Celebrating the #AccorWorldDuoDay initiative, we’re proud to highlight a few of the meaningful experiences across our Fairmont Hotels & Resorts properties over the past weeks. By committing to participating in this unique day, our colleagues shares their jobs and passion with people with disabilities who wanted to discover our world of hospitality. At Fairmont Baku, Flame Towers, three university graduates with disabilities were invited to explore each department and gain valuable insights. Fairmont Amman had four Heartists®️ shadow Directors, learning about their roles and assisting in daily tasks. Fairmont Jakarta welcomed Adrian, who has total hearing impairment, for a day as a Barista at the Deli. Following the initiative, Fairmont Jaipur saw four participants join as Heartists®️, with job offers at the property. Fairmont Makati partnered with Margaretha Home for the Blind and Virlanie Foundation, a program that has been offering individuals with disabilities opportunities to shadow Directors and integrate into the workforce. Fairmont Dubai collaborated with Sheikh Rashid Pediatric Centre to highlight the talents of individuals with disabilities in the hospitality industry. Fairmont Monte Carlo welcomed Marie-Claire and Marion, who explored administrative and housekeeping roles. Fairmont Le Montreux Palace collaborated with the Fondation Eben-Hézer and the Fondation Saint-Barthélémy to welcome Célia, Mathieu, William, and Michael for an inspiring day of learning and discovery across departments such as Kitchen, Purchasing, and Talent & Culture. Meanwhile, Fairmont Dallas surprised Isiah from Stewarding with a day in the pastry department, combining his passion for baking with hands-on experience. May this initiative foster inclusivity, connection, and growth, highlighting the talents of individuals as part of Accor’s commitment to diversity. #FairmontHotels

The holiday spirit is alive and well at the Fairmont Dallas Rumor has it that Santa himself has made an early visit to the hotel, spreading cheer and goodwill among the staff. Santa was spotted helping our colleagues as they tended to a large in-house group, lending a helping hand and bringing smiles to everyone's faces. He's even announced that he'll be spending the entire Christmas season at the Fairmont Dallas this year! But Santa's generosity doesn't stop there. He's promised to grant the wishes of people all over the world, ensuring that the magic of the holidays reaches far and wide. And as an extra special treat, Santa will be hosting the hotel's holiday luncheon for all colleagues this Thursday! #FairmontDallas created a magical experience by participating in Accor’s #WorldDuoDays. Isaiah had the opportunity to spend a day with Pastry Chef Nabil, diving deeper into his passion for baking. It’s wonderful and satisfying to see how uplifting and positive this experience was for everyone involved, especially Isaiah. He stepped outside his usual tasks and embraced something new. Isaiah believes that having a disability shouldn’t hinder anyone from pursuing their passions; he stated, “Personally, I believe that anyone, regardless of their disability or challenges, can achieve their goals with the right support, resources, and opportunities.” We hope this inspiring experience continues to motivate and encourage others to foster acceptance and understanding of our DEI differences in the workplace. In recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Accor reaffirms its dedication to championing gender equality, acting against gender-based violence, and empowering women worldwide. Across the globe, Accor is driving impactful initiatives – such as: - ACOLHE (Brazil): Providing temporary accommodation, psychological support, and job training to over 1,800 women and children since 2020. - WEDA (France): Offering emergency shelter for 765 women and children through 300+ hotels, totaling over 11,000 overnight stays. - Soieries du Mékong (Cambodia): Empowering over 100 women with sustainable livelihoods and financial independence through silk-weaving training and production. - Lila.help (Global): Supporting a global directory of helplines, shelters, and crisis centers for victims of domestic and sexual violence. In France, our partnership with Maisons des femmes Restart continues to drive positive and meaningful change. Since 2021, this collaboration has supported la Maison des femmes in Saint-Denis and the opening of five additional houses in 2024, with a new one inaugurated today in Nice.
