This morning we had the pleasure of hosting Pennsylvania Film Commissioner Gino Pesi, local filmmakers, and stakeholders for an insightful discussion about the film industry. We appreciate Pesi’s bold vision to collaboratively grow and strengthen the overall film industry in Pennsylvania, and we look forward to supporting the Shapiro Administration’s plans to become more competitive and attract our share of film, television, and commercial production while creating jobs. Locally, the HVAB and the Happy Valley Sports & Entertainment Alliance are developing a strategic plan that provides a clear roadmap for attracting film projects to #HappyValleyPA, including potential incentives, location scouting and logistical support, as well as working with other stakeholders to create a sustainable film production ecosystem.
