The program focuses on strengthening the parent-child relationship while reducing challenging behaviors such as aggression, defiance, and non-compliance. Here’s how PCIT makes a difference: ✅ Transforms negative behaviors into positive ones. ✅ Builds children’s self-esteem, social skills, and communication. ✅ Equips parents with consistent, predictable strategies for managing behaviors, reducing stress, and increasing confidence. Meet Lori: Lori brings an incredible wealth of expertise and compassion to our team. A 2003 graduate of the University of Kansas with a Master’s in Social Work, Lori has spent 20 years at Children’s Mercy Hospital focusing on trauma, crisis response, and emotional and behavioral challenges.
