Join us as we reflect back on 2024. From unveiling The Catawba County Chamber Foundation at our Annual Meeting & Reception, to celebrating 50 years of Leadership Catawba, to hosting our largest event in our organization's history (Women's Leadership Conference), 2024 was one for the books. We invite you to watch this video as we also look back on all the work we have achieved on behalf of the business community, with help from the leadership on our Board of Directors to our Advocacy Taskforce working alongside us as the voice for business. We hosted 50 ribbon cuttings this year, participated in dozens of community events, and helped foster connections through our Leads Groups, Ambassador program, First Friday Morning Brews, and Founders Meetups. Thank you for being a part of The Chamber of Catawba County. Watch the video here: https://lnkd.in/ePFZE6qC #catawbachamber #catawbacounty #workingforbusiness

🚀 Catawba County Talent Strategy Kickoff! Last week, the The Chamber of Catawba County's Foundation held the first meeting of the Talent Strategy Steering Committee, bringing together leaders from business, government, education, and nonprofits to shape the future of talent development in Catawba County. With the facilitation of Matt DeVeau (from Broad Ripple Strategies), the kickoff included a high-level look at trends, challenges, and recent survey/focus group insights as we start building a strategic plan for growing, attracting, and retaining talent in the region. At least three more meetings of the Steering Committee are expected, culminating with a strategic roadmap being crafted by late Spring. #TalentStrategy #CatawbaCounty #FutureFocused #TalentDevelopment

Today, we convened the last Advocacy Taskforce meeting of the year. The Chamber's Advocacy Taskforce is comprised of over 40 business and community leaders who serve as the lead advocates for business. Over the last several months, discussions and presentations were held to help educate our taskforce on specific legislative initiatives. Combined with our 2024 Advocacy Survey results from Chamber Partners, a draft of the 2025 Legislative Agenda was completed. We extend our gratitude to our Advocacy Taskforce for their engagement and efforts. The Chamber is committed to understanding issues most important to our business community, advocating for or against, in order to protect business interests. We strive to serve as a go-to source for well-considered public policy, and to have a thoughtful impact on policy-making at the local and state level. Early Voting ends in two days and Election Day is right around the corner. The Chamber of Catawba County advocates for policies that benefit business, but we can only succeed with the support of elected leaders who share our vision. While the Chamber does not make endorsements in elections, we believe it is important for those who understand business to vote. Our local elected leaders shape the policies that directly impact our towns and cities. This is your chance to support candidates who truly understand our local challenges and aspirations.
