By spotlighting pioneering farmer role models across Europe, we’re rewriting the narrative around farming and inspiring the next generation to embrace this vital field. This season, we celebrate the resilience and dedication that transform challenges into opportunities, soil into sustenance, and communities into thriving ecosystems. At Top 50 Farmers, we believe every farmer applying regenerative practices is already a role model. This is also why Top 50 Farmers in not a ranking—it’s a recognition of the diverse journeys within regenerative agriculture and the solutions that are transforming our food systems. We spent months carefully designing the nomination and application process to reflect this belief, ensuring farmers would feel respected, valued, and celebrated—no matter the application outcome. Wow! What an incredible response! A heartfelt thank you to all the farmers who applied for the inaugural Top 50 Farmers cohort and to everyone who nominated a farmer in their community. Your contributions are a testament to the incredible momentum behind regenerative agriculture across Europe. With nominations now closed, our Selection Committee is hard at work reviewing applications. The first-ever Top 50 Farmers will be announced in 2025, and we’re so excited to spotlight these trailblazers right here on our social media! This account is your go-to platform for inspiration and learning. We’ll be sharing individual profiles of the selected farmers—showcasing their innovative approaches, what’s working in regenerative agriculture, and how we can all grow together as a community. The deadline to apply for the first cohort of Top 50 Farmers has been extended! Farmers now have until Tuesday, Dec 17 at midnight to submit their application. Our goal is to have all of Europe represented and we’re still missing a few countries. Scroll through to see which ones! PS: you can still nominate a farmer! We’ve extended the Top 50 Farmers application deadline to Tuesday, December 17 at midnight! 🎉 This gives you the weekend to put those final touches on your application—and we’re here to clear up a few doubts we’ve heard along the way: 1️⃣ The application process is quick It takes about 20 minutes to complete once you’ve gathered your materials. 2️⃣ The video isn’t about production quality. 👉 Yes, we know it’s winter. 👉 Yes, we know the fields are bare. What matters is YOU—your story, your passion, and why regenerative farming matters to you. This is your chance to highlight your story, why you want to be part of Top 50 Farmers, or your vision for the future. 3️⃣ All farmers are welcome Whether you’re just starting your regenerative journey or further along, this isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress, bravery, and the unique challenges you’ve embraced to transform your business and the land. 4️⃣ Your story matters Top 50 Farmers is about celebrating pioneers like YOU—those who are learning, experimenting, and inspiring others.
