The start of 2025 has looked very different than we expected. We've been faced with several major weather events across the country, including the heartbreaking fires in the Los Angeles area which have impacted many of our team members and our communities. During this difficult time, it is imperative for us to show up for our team and our communities. To help support, we've introduced an option online and in-restaurant where guests can purchase a meal for a first responder that is actively serving on the front lines. This $10 meal will ensure these heroes stay fed and fueled as they work relentlessly to protect our communities. Looking back on our opening of our new location in Raleigh last November, we wanted to highlight 2 very important team members and veterans who helped with the launch! SSgt Brooke Caufield, originally from Rancho Cucamonga, CA joined the service at 18 years old. She served active duty in the United States Air Force for 6 years as Fighter Jet Engine Mechanic. SSgt Caufield spent most of her career overseas in Alaska, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Ireland, Japan etc. She is now part of our Tucson, Arizona True Food Team. Kenneth McKinnie is from Chicago, Illinois. He enlisted in the military in 1995 where he served as an Infantryman in the United States Army for a total of 10 years stationed in various military bases throughout the world. Kenneth is now part of Santa Monica True Food Team. These two incredible individuals embody the values we stand by: lead with heart, aim with ambition, and guide with confidence. Their dedication and service have shaped them into the amazing team members they are today, and we are so proud to have them as part of the True Food family. Here’s to the future of True Food Kitchen in Raleigh and to all the remarkable people like Brooke and Kenneth who make True Food Kitchen everything it is! Meet Chris Gaughan! Chris started his journey with True Food in 2012 and since then he has grown within the company. Beginning in 201, Chris helped open and run restaurants as a General Manager. Then, he moved back to Arizona in 2019 and ran our Flagship location in Scottsdale. After receiving the opportunity to work at our home office in OPs Services, Chris has now found his passion in operations and serves as the first Area Manager for True Food Kitchen leading six locations across Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada.
