  • As the new year kicks off, we are celebrating $1,000,000 in community wealth generated through our Village Savings & Loan Association program. Since our program started 5 years ago, our farmers have met weekly in their communities to save and lend the earnings from their farms to one another - reinvesting in expanding their farms, starting a side business, or education for their children and family members. Despite a pandemic, climate change, and an inflation crisis, our farmers continued to show up for themselves and each other, growing savings and lending by double digits year over year. This milestone is a testament to power of community and consistency - we’re so proud of our farmers and our field team, and we can’t wait to share how these numbers and this community grows in 2025!

  • Happy Farmer’s Day from Ghana! Today, we’re sending a little extra appreciation to our True Moringa farmers who work every day to heal the planet and our health through regenerative farming. What is regenerative farming? Regenerative agriculture focuses on restoring the health of the entire ecosystem. It promotes biodiversity, soil health, water conservation, and climate resilience. Regenerative agriculture is not new to Ghana - farmers throughout Ghana have been practicing these techniques for centuries. However, many living in rural areas are forced to turn to harmful environmental practices like charcoal burning and illegal mining for short term cash. This year, we became the world's first organic and Regenified™ certified moringa farm! By providing a market for regeneratively grown moringa, you play a huge part in our regenerative journey as we continue to grow a healthier, more sustainable future ❤️

  • One of the most inspiring parts of our job is watching the women we work with use the income they earn from farming moringa to transform their communities. Women farmers invest in school fees for their children, healthcare for loved ones, and building homes for their families. Even more importantly, they instill in their children a desire to give back to the community. Four years ago with your help, we created our True Moringa Community Fund to support special projects that have touched the lives of thousands of small farming families in Ghana - 💧Providing clean water to 2700 people 📚Funding school fees for 22 children 👩🏽⚕️Completely renovating our community health center 🌶️ Launching our regenerative chili pepper farm This year at the request of our farmers, donations from our Community Fund will support scholarships for the children of our farmers to pursue their own dreams through higher education. “Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is more people who have come alive.” - Howard Thurman Nothing makes me come alive more than Kuli Kuli Foods supplier trips. I’m on my way home from 10 days in Egypt and Ghana. We rode camels around pyramids, took a boat down the Nile, did the Wobble on a canopy bridge across a waterfall, danced on a tractor, and most importantly spent time with the incredible people who grow our products. We were particularly excited to celebrate with True Moringa who just became the world’s first regenerative certified moringa farm. It so amazing to see the many ways they have invested in the local community, going beyond farming and to activities like building roads and starting microfinance groups. There are a lot of ways to grow moringa. Growing smallholder farmer livelihoods, women’s empowerment, financial literacy, and nutrient-rich soil takes time, but Kuli Kuli Foods is committed to partnering with suppliers that are seeding better futures. Big thank you to Jordan Moncharmont without whom supplier trips (and all of Kuli Kuli’s backend operations) would not be possible. Equally big thank you to my husband Trenton Arthur without whom my entire life (and leaving my 2 young kids for 10 days) would not be possible. Thanks also Heidi Afoa for joining us and being an awesome travel buddy. Lastly Kwami Williams - my moringa CEO twin, dance buddy, and wonderful friend - thank you so much for all that you do. We’re honored to be a part of it. #moringa #suppliertrip #regenerativeagriculture #regenerativeorganic #kulikuli #kulikulifoods
