  • We enjoy getting out in our communities and connecting with our youth, and one of our favorite ways is through career fairs. This week, we were out at Duncan Schools talking to the students about their futures and how Valley is an important and viable opportunity to make a living in the rural areas we serve. Jared, one of our Construction Techs, was on hand to give fiber splicing demonstrations and answer any questions the kids had. Thank you for having us, Duncan Schools! #ruralopportunity #ruralbroadband #careerfair

  • It was a memorable night in Animas last night. At halftime of the Panthers’ football game, Acting Director Drew Lovelace of the New Mexico Office of Broadband Access and Expansion announced to the enthusiastic crowd that Valley has been awarded a state-issued grant of more than $5.6 million for the fiber network upgrade project for Animas, Cotton City and Hachita! Valley CEO Troy Judd and District 32 New Mexico State Representative Jenifer Jones also spoke, detailing what this will mean to the residents and businesses of those three communities. The presentation culminated in a ribbon cutting at midfield, making the announcement official. Combine the announcement with the Animas victory over Ft. Hancock, and it was a perfect night! #fiberiscoming #ruralbroadband (Pictured, from left, VTC CEO Troy Judd, NM Office of Broadband Access & Expansion Acting Director Drew Lovelace, District 32 State Representative Jenifer Jones, VTC Board Directors William Swift and Carrol Miller)
