🔴 Today 35 participants gathered for our 2nd Capacity Building Programme workshop: Climate Data Services and Tools - C3S Support to Regions and cities  💡 A dynamic and thought-provoking session took place: -Samuel Almond from European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts introduced #Copernicus before and explaining how Earth Observation can provide climate information and support regions and cities  -Alan M. from Aerospace Valley explored how Copernicus Climate Change Service (#C3S) can empower local authorities with the data needed for effective climate adaptation strategies. He also presented an overview of EU tools to start using Copernicus for adaptation, as well as the SPACE4Cities project  -Heli Ponto, from Forum Virium Helsinki, presented the pros and cons of satellite data during her speech on climate adaptation and social justice      After the presentations, questions were addressed to the speakers to go further, before concluding the workshop. Together, let's promote a collaborative approach to tackling climate change! 🌍 The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) at the #COP29 : missed it? Register for our workshop tomorrow ! 🌍 Our project partner European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMRWF) attended the COP29 Azerbaijan in Baku, in a special session which took place over the week end. 🌍 VALORADA at the 12th World Urban Forum! We are excited to announce that the VALORADA project was represented during the 12th World Urban Forum (#WUF12) in Cairo, Egypt! This globally significant event, organized by UN-Habitat, brought together leaders, experts, and stakeholders from around the world to shape the future of sustainable urbanization 🤝. 🎬 The presentation video of the #VALORADA project was showcased at the UNITAC Hamburg booth at the Urban Forum, running on loop alongside other impactful projects from the Cities and Spatial Planning Lab.
