We loved being a part of the West Tech Assemblage 2025 event last week. WADSIH board member Tina Ambrose spoke alongside Mayors from around Perth to discuss the vital role that local governments and libraries play in fostering digital access and inclusion. Last week, #WADSIH's Director, Alex Jenkins provided insights into the future of AI regulation in Australia at CLEAR AI's Cutting Through the Hype: Navigating AI in Business. In this fireside chat, his discussion examined global approaches to AI governance and their implications for Australia's regulatory landscape. Key themes included the need for AI regulations to balance innovation with risk management and the importance of safeguarding data privacy to maintain public trust and confidence. As AI adoption accelerates, regulatory frameworks must evolve to ensure responsible and ethical implementation.
