Congratulations to Weldaloy Metallurgical Laboratory (WML) for earning NADCAP accreditation for Materials Testing Laboratories! The WML was founded in 2022, since then, it has grown rapidly into a center of excellence. By February 2023, it earned ISO 17025 accreditation and in just nine months after initiating the NADCAP accreditation process, it has now earned its NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) accreditation. The accreditation positions WML to provide testing services to space, aviation, and defense companies globally. Congrats to Dr. Ramachandra Canumalla, Sam Meyer, Nathan Fleming, Conor McKinney, and Ben Schaus for this exciting milestone. One of the highlights from a year of spectacular events. Jimmy Russell delighted us by breaking through the clutter when cold calling. #salesmanship #coldcalling #innovation #weldaloy
Many vendors make cold calls and most are ignored. Here is one that was not: Jimmy Russell of JLR Group, LLC dropped off a crumpled piece of paper for Randy Thomas, our facilities manager . When Randy uncrumpled ball of paper, there was a compelling note recognizing that most cold calls are ignored. Jimmy followed up with an email, subject line "From the crumpled paper guy." His unusual approach broke through the clutter and, yes, JLR Group actually has services Weldaloy is interested in. Don't be afraid to employ unusual tactics to get someone's attention. JImmy credited Dale Dupree for the crumpled paper marketing inspiration. #marketing #innovation #breakthrough

This Thanksgiving, we reflect on the many blessings in our lives. We are deeply grateful for our incredible team, our loyal customers and trusted vendors, and the opportunity to live and work in a country that allows us the freedom to worship and give thanks to the Lord, from whom all blessings flow. Let all of our lives be full of both thanks and giving on this day, and every day. #weldaloy #blessed

Drew Kelly has been with Weldaloy Specialty Forgings for more than a decade. This story is indicative of why Drew is a valued leader in the company. #weldaloy #leadership
A guy was asked to paint a boat, so he grabbed his paint and brushes and got to work making it a bright red, just like the owner wanted. While he was painting, he spotted a small hole in the hull and quietly took care of it. Once he finished up, he got paid and headed out. The next day, the boat owner came back with a nice check that was way more than what he paid for the painting. The painter was a bit confused and said, “But you’ve already paid me for the painting, sir!” The owner replied, “This isn’t for the paint job; it’s for fixing the hole in the boat.” The painter responded, “Oh! But that was such a tiny job… it doesn’t seem worth such a big payment for something so small.” The owner smiled and explained, “You see, I forgot to mention the hole when I asked you to paint the boat. “When the paint dried, my kids took the boat out for a fishing trip.” “They had no idea about the hole, and I wasn’t home.” “When I got back and realized they took the boat, I panicked because I remembered the hole.” “Imagine my relief and joy when I saw them coming back from fishing.” “When I checked the boat, I found out you had fixed the hole!” “Do you see? You saved my children’s lives!” “I can’t thank you enough for that 'small' act of kindness.” So, no matter who you are or what you do, keep helping, supporting, listening, and fixing those little 'leaks' you spot. You never know when someone might really need it, or when life will surprise you with an opportunity to make a real difference. Along the way, you might have helped countless people without even realizing how many lives you’ve touched. Make a difference… be the best version of yourself!

S1000 Certification and S291 Forging Approval are Weldaloy's latest achievements in aerospace manufacturing. We began the approval process less than a year ago. The quick certification time underscores our commitment to quality and precision, bolstering our position as a trusted provider of critical forged components for industry leaders in space, aviation, and defense. Located in Warren, Michigan, our cutting-edge campus includes in-house engineering, an independent metallurgy lab, heat treating, and rough machining. This integration ensures efficiency and excellence at every stage of forging titanium, super alloys, copper, and stainless steel parts for the aerospace industry. One year ago the first production ring was a copper. Today, we are rolling titanium, super alloy, and stainless steel seamless rolled rings. We have a minimum quantity of one. What may we produce for you? https://lnkd.in/gC_gsr-W #weldaloy #titanium #superalloys #stainlesssteel #copper #forging #aerospacemanufacturing
The first copper ring rolled on our SMS group ring mill came out perfect. The 51" OD ring took only two minutes to roll. The edges are sharp and geometry so perfect it looks like it has already been machined. We will be in production mode by December for rings up to 120" OD. Fernando Lozano, Gregory M. Spalding, Rachel Smith, Safana Martin, Alfonso DiMercurio are booking production time now. #copper #titanium #nickel #stainlesssteel #aerospace #aviation #defense #powergeneration #forging #seamlessrolledrings
