We teamed up with Black Girls Code LA for Hack the System: Code for Health Justice, a WiDS NextGen event in Los Angeles that helped teach students ages 13-17 to use data science for health equity. This free event featured hands-on workshops led by women mentors in tech, helping students build skills and explore pathways in data science careers. 🌟 The 8th Annual WiDS Datathon is here, and this year we’re exploring the female brain in collaboration with Ann S. Bowers Women's Brain Health Initiative (WBHI), Cornell University, UC Santa Barbara; and dataset partner the Child Mind Institute! 🧠💡 🔍 In this year’s global challenge we will utilize demographic, diagnostic, and functional MRI data from the Healthy Brain Network (HBN) and the Reproducible Brain Charts project (RBC). Participants will build models to predict adolescent ADHD—advancing insights for personalized medicine in boys and girls.
