About us
WRA is an environmental consultancy that’s making a net positive impact. As a tenacious team of planners, engineers, and scientists, we believe in leaving the lands we love better than we found them. We partner with public agencies, non-profits, and private entities on multidiscipline projects in a variety of markets. From planning and design, through entitlement and post-construction, we have your back. Our clients lean on us to navigate them through tricky projects and achieve benefits for both the natural environment and local communities. From our roots in wetland research and supporting our first clients in the Bay Area following the inception of the federal Clean Water Act, we have more than 40 years of experience in California's diverse ecoregions. This gives us an understanding of the unique habitats throughout the state and the growing needs of local communities. While our roots are in California, we have supported clients in nearly 30 states and counting. WRA is proud to be an employee-owned, certified small business (SB-PW ref. #13333) with 100 team members working from four offices in California, and a growing distributed workforce throughout the West.

WRA Landscape Restoration (WRA-LR) is excited to showcase a recently completed community resilience project for the Sonoma County Ag + Open Space District. Many WRA team members braved the Bay Area’s historic atmospheric river storms to attend a classic #Friendsgiving gathering last week. The event featured a Great British Bake Off-style dessert competition highlighting homemade confections and even an ode to our favorite endangered mouse. The day was made possible by our superhuman Internal Operations Team Leader, Kimberly Hettler-Coleman, and many other hardworking staff - thank you for all your efforts to make it a wonderful day for the team!

WRA is proud to be part of this powerful coalition. So gratifying to gather, celebrate the passing of Prop 4 and Measure Q in Santa Cruz, and think together about the work ahead!
Last week we held our annual Policy Summit with our members to reflect on the past year ( 🎉 Proposition 4!!! 🎉 ) and look ahead to the next year. One of this coalition's top priorities is securing significant and stable funding for the region. Thanks to all of our members who attended, and thanks to ALL of our members for their commitment to regional coordination. It's a joy to work with you.

Today is GIS Day, a day that recognizes innovative applications of geographic information system (GIS) technology across the globe, but very critical to our environmental field. We honor our own GIS team members who support nearly every project that comes our way and are experts in applying these tools and providing spatial data analysis for the benefit of our clients and projects. Check out our spotlight and learn more about our amazing GIS team! https://lnkd.in/g6D3ieMD
