One way to surprise your kids this Christmas and inspire them is by showing them the value of having a real impact in the life of somebody in need. A great idea is a solidarity gift card, which allows them to choose a NGO, charity or cause they want to support. This can be a wonderful way to show them the value of giving and getting involved in something bigger than themselves, while also helping them develop a deeper understanding of social responsibility and empathy. This experience will not only make their holiday season more meaningful, but it will also make them reflect and feel the true spirit of giving. It’s a unique opportunity to introduce them to the rewarding feeling of donating for the first time, and to see the tangible impact they can have on the lives of others. At 2-gift, we’ve created a unique approach to solidarity gift cards. Through a web-based virtual experience, we guide users via a web presentation, helping them understand the significance of the special moment they’re experiencing while making their donation. This interactive experience makes the act of giving even more impactful and memorable. You can try our gift card on our webpage.

Why gift cards? To you, a gift card may not feel like a gift. It may feel impersonal, maybe even impractical. You might prefer to just donate clothing, shoes, or specific items that are needed. For youth in our programs, gift cards represent autonomy and choice. Do you remember being a kid and getting to pick out new school clothes? Or finding just the right artwork to decorate your room with? Youth in our programs are no different. They want clothes that are their own style, and which they feel comfortable in. They want to make their space their own with decor they've chosen. They want to pick out the shoes that all their friends are wearing. So, while a gift card doesn't seem exciting to you, it can mean the world for a youth in care. Consider donating a gift card today. 🎉 Only 42 days left until the critical year-end giving period – December 27-31! Did you know? December 31st alone generates nearly 3x more donations than Giving Tuesday, making it the most impactful day for nonprofits. ➡️ But here’s a shocking statistic: According to the NextAfter Benchmarks Report, 40% of charities didn’t send any emails to donors during the year-end season. Don’t leave potential donors waiting! 📧 Email campaigns during year-end giving drive 14% more revenue per donor than at any other time of year. And adding video to your message can boost click-through rates by over 20%! ✨ Here’s how you can maximize this opportunity: 1. Show Your Impact – Help donors see how their contributions create meaningful change. 2. Remind Donors About Tax Benefits – Many give during year-end to maximize deductions. 3. Use Video Storytelling – Connect emotionally and inspire action. Let’s make these last days of the year count! We’re here to help you drive meaningful change!

I received over 100 spam calls in the last 24 hours - and it was a fundraising teaching moment. Yesterday, I was looking to get a quote to lay a new patio in our backyard. Since that online inquiry, I've gotten over 100 calls and they're still coming. On one hand, I was and remain very annoyed (the resurgence of spam calls drives everyone nuts). On the other hand, one of those companies who called back promptly will be getting my business. Here's my point: when I expressed interest, someone took notice. Question for you, fundraiser: when someone expresses interest in your mission, who takes notice? Does anybody? Too often, prospective donors are proverbially raising their hands through a small donation or volunteering or providing their feedback, as if to say, "I'm beginning to start to care about this mission and now I'm waiting for someone to talk to me". Too often, the nonprofit sector is the exact OPPOSITE of the annoying telemarketer. Instead of 100+ calls, it's silence. When a prospective donors shows interest, make sure someone takes notice. #Philanthropy #Fundraising #Propsects

🎉 Friends, I need your help! 🎉 We’re on a mission at Only7Seconds® to raise $40,000 to fuel our vital work in early 2025—and we’re over halfway there! With just ONE WEEK left to hit our goal, I’m reaching out to my tribe for support. 💛 This mission is so personal to me. #Loneliness isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a silent epidemic affecting so many—especially our youth. As a mom, I want to create a better, more connected world for my two boys, one where kindness and meaningful relationships are the norm, not the exception. I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of connection through the work we do at Only7Seconds. Every dollar we raise helps create programs that build those life-saving, meaningful #connections. That’s why I believe so deeply in this work and why I’m asking for your help. A gift of $25—the cost of a coffee/breakfast date or a takeout meal—can make a big difference in empowering youth and spreading hope. What makes this even better? ✨ Give NCW is hosting our end-of-year campaign and covering ALL credit card fees, so 100% of your donation goes directly to program impact. ✨ And today is Funday Monday! If you donate today, you’ll be entered to win a $1,000 gift card to give to any nonprofit on the Give NCW list (including us 😉). Thanks, Community Foundation of NCW for hosting this amazing campaign and keeping dollars local!!! Let’s rally together to finish strong and make a huge difference for 2025. Can you help? 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gCW84c2T Thank you for believing in this mission—you’re changing lives. 💛 #Only7Seconds #GiveNCW #EndYouthLoneliness

Direct response in major gift fundraising? Nah, that’ll never work... unless, of course, you enjoy seeing results like these: 🌟 $250,000 raised in 4 weeks 🌟 $485,000 raised in 6 weeks 🌟 $970,000 raised in 6 weeks 🌟 $1.2 million raised in 8 weeks You might think that direct mail and email have no place in major gift fundraising. And in certain respects, that's true. But my team and I have found that there's no better tool for activating new major gift relationships, AND for reactivating lapsed major givers who haven't given to a charity in maybe 3, 5, or even 8 years! We do this all day long for our ministry and nonprofit partners. Those numbers above are REAL results from Major Gift Activation campaigns we've run. If you want to activate more major giving for your organization, drop a comment and let's connect!

Christmas is the best time for #fundraising; here’s why ⬇️ 🎄 More people donating. The spirit of goodwill around Christmas drives a surge in donations, with 30% of all annual giving happening in December alone. 🎄 Larger donation amounts. Donors are more generous at year-end. Data shows that first-time gifts in December are, on average, 52% larger compared to other times of the year. 🎄 Emotional connection. The festive season is emotionally charged, making people more inclined to support causes that resonate with them. The holidays encourage a mindset of giving back and supporting those in need. If you want to capitalize on the season's generosity, now’s the time to act. Plan your #christmasfundraiser via Silent Auction Pro.

You might not know it, but today is #InternationalVolunteerDay! More and more people are shifting their focus from material gifts to the gift of time, especially during the festive season. In fact, charities across the UK report that volunteer sign-ups can double in December compared to other months. Here are some stats from the Royal Voluntary Service: 🙋♀️ 17% of adults in Great Britain plan to volunteer over the Christmas period 🎄 14% intend to volunteer on Christmas Day itself 🕒 73% will give up at least 3hrs of their time 💸 40% would rather someone donate on their behalf than receive a gift The desire to give back is stronger than ever—showing how people are valuing experiences and social impact over material gifts. So, if you're one of the 54% who think the gift of time is the most valuable this Christmas, why not find a volunteering opportunity in your area? https://lnkd.in/eArA6rti #MerryMiramarChristmas
