Hello community! 👋 Volunteering is a great way to support your community and make a real difference, but many of us find it difficult to make the time. The good news is that you don't have to devote hours every week to make a real impact. Here are some simple ideas to incorporate volunteering into your everyday life: - Set a recurring calendar reminder to donate blood - it only takes an hour a few times a year. 🩸🗓️ - Sign up for micro-volunteering opportunities that let you contribute in small increments, like transcribing documents, sorting and organizing donations at a local food bank or clothing drive or writing letters for seniors, or hospitalized children. 📝🎁 - Organize a neighborhood clean-up day and get friends/neighbors involved. Just an hour or two can make a big difference. 🧹🏡 - Use your professional skills to provide pro bono consulting for a local non-profit. 💼🤝 The key is to find volunteering activities that fit easily into your routine. Even small acts of service can add up to create positive change in your community. Get started today! 🌟 #Volunteer #GivingBack #CommunityService #CorpSocialResponsibility #HENSLEE

As a nonprofit leader, marketer or development pro, you're probably gearing up for Giving Tuesday and your end-of-year appeal (if it's not already up and running). The following post offers my thoughts on avoiding asking twice in the same time frame. #NonprofitLeadership #FundraisingStrategy #NonprofitDevelopment #NonprofitMarketing #SocialImpact
A question in the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP Global) forum caught my eye. The poster asked for peer input on how to balance Giving Tuesday and end-of-year appeals since both fall in Q4 and the overlap is real. Great question. A couple of responders mentioned steering clear of Giving Tuesday. One highlighted creating a special giving day that didn't join the GT dogpile. And the other said they created messaging around not joining the annual event and welcomed donors to give to those organizations seeking funds. Both are solid suggestions. I weighed in, wholeheartedly agreeing with Mary Robinson and Heather Smith (the two respondents noted above). Zig while the 10x-million other nonprofits are zagging on Giving Tuesday. Create opportunity around a special giving day, one that doesn't cannibalize your EoY appeal. Creating a brand-specific event that reinforces your organization helps create brand awareness and builds recognition for your mission. AND you're not trying out-shout, out-humble, out-plead every other agency fawning for alms. In short: Break from the herd and be heard. #NonprofitLeadership #FundraisingStrategy #NonprofitDevelopment #NonprofitMarketing #SocialImpact

Compassion and the Spirit of Giving As the season of giving surrounds us, it’s a great time to reflect on the power of compassion. Sometimes, it’s the small gestures that make the biggest difference in someone’s life. Whether it’s offering a kind word, donating to a local shelter, or volunteering time to help a neighbor, we all have the ability to brighten someone’s day. Here are a few simple ways to make a difference: • Organize a donation drive: Collect coats, blankets, or non-perishable food for those in need. • Support local families: Drop off groceries or gift cards anonymously to help make their holidays a little easier. • Volunteer your time: Help at a soup kitchen, mentor someone, or spend time with residents at a veterans’ home or senior care facility. • Pay it forward: Cover someone’s coffee, groceries, or gas as a random act of kindness. It’s not about how much we give, but the intention behind it. Compassion is contagious, and when we come together to help one another, we build stronger communities. Let’s all find a way to give back this season—it could be the start of something bigger than we imagine. How are you giving back this year? Share your thoughts or ideas in the comments—I’d love to hear them! #Compassion #SeasonOfGiving #KindnessMatters

One way to surprise your kids this Christmas and inspire them is by showing them the value of having a real impact in the life of somebody in need. A great idea is a solidarity gift card, which allows them to choose a NGO, charity or cause they want to support. This can be a wonderful way to show them the value of giving and getting involved in something bigger than themselves, while also helping them develop a deeper understanding of social responsibility and empathy. This experience will not only make their holiday season more meaningful, but it will also make them reflect and feel the true spirit of giving. It’s a unique opportunity to introduce them to the rewarding feeling of donating for the first time, and to see the tangible impact they can have on the lives of others. At 2-gift, we’ve created a unique approach to solidarity gift cards. Through a web-based virtual experience, we guide users via a web presentation, helping them understand the significance of the special moment they’re experiencing while making their donation. This interactive experience makes the act of giving even more impactful and memorable. You can try our gift card on our webpage.
