Recent storms have greatly affected our greater Houston communities. As a good corporate neighbor, it’s our responsibility to step up and support our community members in need. That’s why we’re supporting local disaster relief efforts with a $100,000 donation to four nonprofit organizations: - Houston Food Bank plays a crucial role in providing emergency food assistance to communities affected by natural disasters. The donation will help Houston Food Bank replenish food through its disaster-response partners, providing assistance for neighbors who lost all their perishable food due to power outages caused by the recent storms. - BakerRipley, with more than 55 locations across the Texas Gulf Coast Region, will use the donation to support its four community centers in providing refuge and ongoing holistic assistance to families. Additionally, funds will used to support critical programs like upcoming monthly food fairs, which are expected to see larger crowds. - Rebuilding Together Houston ensures the homes of veterans are safe and livable and will use the donation to help fund licensed contractors to perform disaster-related repairs for low-income homeowners affected by the storms, including roof replacements, structural stabilization, and repairs from water damage. - Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston will use the donation to provide gift cards as well as food, clothing, vouchers for temporary shelter and essential supplies to storm victims. Additionally, financial assistance will be available to families facing unexpected crises due to the storm's impact. CITGO is dedicated to supporting the community in times of need. Through strategic partnerships and generous donations, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by natural disasters and other crises. #Houston #CommunitySupport #CommunityResilience

Hurricane Helene has brought devastating loss of life and widespread destruction across the Southeast. While first responders are actively deployed, the full extent of the damage is still unfolding. SECC staff and members are safe, but many are without power, facing gas and water shortages and witnessing their homes and neighborhoods devastated by flooding. Here’s how you can help: Donate: •Northeast Tennessee: Click this link to donate to the United Way of East Tennessee Highlands Disaster Relief Fund: https://lnkd.in/g8TFBGp6 •Southeastern US: United Way Worldwide has established a fund to address urgent needs in affected states. Click this link to donate: https://lnkd.in/gxECwKVp •Currently, monetary donations are the best way to help as they can be deployed quickly to meet the evolving needs of those impacted. Volunteer: •TEMA urges civilians not to self-deploy, as road conditions are dangerous and unplanned arrivals can hinder relief efforts. •The American Red Cross is recruiting volunteers for temporary shelters in Northeast Tennessee. Training is required. Click this link to learn more information: https://lnkd.in/gNd_d4n5 Let’s rally together to support these communities during this critical time. While the damage of Hurricane Helen is still being assessed, we as Carolina Community from our SERVPRO Team Starritt want to share ways you can help from areas far and wide. 1- Donate to Non-Profit Organizations // Organizations such as the AARP Foundation are gathering funds to ensure that all of the profits go to the relief and support of those impacted by hurricane damage. 2-Volunteer your Time // If you live within an area where you can ideally travel to damaged sites, register under a disaster relief organization to give your time to efforts needing assistance such as tree removal, donated goods organizations, debris cleanup, etc. You can sign up at redcross.org, justserve.com, and at nc.gov/volunteernc. Important to note: Do not just show up to the communities impacted without registering through an organization. They are limited to resources and it takes careful planning and consideration to direct the efforts of volunteers effectively. 3 - Send Resources // Even with the very generous efforts of our amazing Carolina communities, the need for resources is still ongoing and has been deemed very limited. Through the same and similar organizations listed above, find items that are needed and register to drop them off at an organization's pick-up zone. 4 - Stay up-to-date // While you may not be experiencing any damage or effects from the storm, it does not mean that the issues and needs of those who were are immediately cared for. Do your best to stay informed and up-to-date with the needs of the communities and areas impacted. Doing so will help them stay updated with the resources they need to recover. Let’s take this time to unite together as a Carolina community ❤️ #carolinastrong #hurricanehelene #disasterrelief #redcross #volunteer #communityservice #donate
