Ride-Hailling Company Namma Yatri has raised $11 Million in its Pre-Series A Funding round from Blume Ventures, Antler, Google, and Many Others. Through the Fund, Namma Yatri plans to invest in R&D, Product Innovation, and Improve Customer Convenience, and Technology. Food Delivery and quick commerce Company Swiggy has announced its 5th ESOP Liquidity Program worth $65 Million. This is the third consecutive program after July 2022 & July 2023. Swiggy also is now valued at more than $9 Billion and planning to raise $1.25 Billion through an IPO. San Francisco-based Startup UptimeAI Inc. has raised $14 Million in Series A Funding Round. The Round was led by WestBridge Capital and included existing investors like Emergent Ventures, New Investor Aditya Birla Ventures & Sequoia Capital India. Venture Studio IndusDC, has announced to build 5 DeepTech Startups in the next 2 years with over 50 Startups globally over the next decade. Each startup out of the 5 will get Rs.20 Crores from IndusDC and already secured commitments from Mirik Gogri of Spectrum Impact and the Family Office of Aarti Industries Ltd. Mobility startup Rapido has secured $200 million in a financing round led by existing investor WestBridge Capital, vaulting into the unicorn club of privately-held companies with a $1.1 billion valuation. The company's CEO, Aravind Sanka, told ET that the money will be utilized to grow Rapido's recently introduced four-wheeler taxi service, which faces competition from Ola and Uber. Along with new investors Think Investments and New York-based Invus Opportunities, the other current investor in Rapido sponsored by Swiggy, is the venture capital firm Nexus Venture Partners. According to Sanka, Rapido is also making an entry into the popular fast commerce delivery market by using its fleet of two-wheelers for hyperlocal deliveries. The news that Rapido has secured $120 million from WestBridge as part of a bigger investment round was originally reported by ET on July 29. The most recent fundraising effort is a result of the robust expansion we've experienced in the past two years," stated Sanka, asserting that Rapido leads the market in the bike-taxi industry. According to Sanka, Rapido receives between 2.3 and 2.5 million orders every day from various form factors, with 7% coming from business-to-business (B2B) transactions. Quick commerce company Zepto has raised $665 million in its Series F round from new investors Avenir, Lightspeed, and Avra (Anu Hariharan’s new fund), among others. Existing investors Glade Brook, Nexus, and StepStone co-led the round with Goodwater and Lachy Groom doubling down their stakes as well. The Mumbai-based company turned unicorn in August last year after raising $200 million in a Series E round led by venture capital firm StepStone. It also raised $35 million more in the same round. As per the company, it has been valued at $3.6 billion (post-money) in the fresh round, up from $1.4 billion during the last round. The firm has raised more than $1.2 billion to date. The mammoth funding will help Zepto compete with other two deep-pocketed players, BlinkIt and Swiggy Instamart.
