As the holiday season approaches, it’s easy to get caught up in the commercial frenzy. But the true spirit of the season, embodied by Santa Claus and rooted in traditions like Saint Nicholas’s acts of generosity, reminds us of something deeper: giving from the heart. Thoughtful, meaningful gestures—not just items bought on sale—create lasting memories and connections. This year, let’s refocus on what really matters. A heartfelt note, a homemade gift, or simply showing up for those we care about can make all the difference. Let’s redefine what generosity means in a world obsessed with price tags. How are you planning to give meaningfully this season?

This powerful reminder from Robin Wall Kimmerer speaks to the resilience and generosity of our earth, even in times of crisis. In moments where it feels like the weight of environmental issues or personal challenges could eclipse everything else, there’s wisdom in pausing to notice the small, sacred gifts that nature bestows upon us. 🌼 The delicate petals of a flower, the soothing rush of a breeze, the glow of a sunrise — these moments are the earth’s quiet whispers that joy is always within reach, even when the world feels wounded. Choosing joy doesn’t mean ignoring the hardships. It means acknowledging them while still honoring the beauty that surrounds us and remembering our responsibility to give back. It’s about recognizing that the earth, in its wounded state, still supports and nourishes us. How can we not offer gratitude and find our own way to return the favor? So, today and every day, choose to seek out moments of wonder. Choose to honor the gifts around you and turn them into seeds of hope. Let’s be mindful of this — let’s nourish the earth as she nourishes us. 🌱 What are the small wonders you notice around you today? How do you choose joy in the face of pain and suffering? There are many traditions and learnings I’ve embraced in my life. Día de Los muertos is my favorite one. A time to honor and celebrate the lives of those who came before. A time to remember who they were and their legacy in our lives and our family today. It’s a good reminder of life’s dualities: life and death, love and hate, day and night, light and darkness. This is a also a perfect time for reflection on how we are living our lives. Are you listening to your heart? Are you doing your best to leave this world in a better place when you transition to the other side? What are the contributions you’d like to leave behind? How would you like to be remembered? These are questions I do my best to keep in mind as I continue my journey.

This... All people smile in the same language. It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living. – F. Scott Fitzgerald

Blessed Feast day of St Francis Xavier to all! Have you ever heard of St Francis Xavier? One of my favourite things about him is that he did not let excuses prevent him from serving God! What excuses are you telling yourself that is holding you back from living a life of true happiness, holiness and hustle? If you need help breaking down those excuses let’s chat! #Catholic #youngprofessionals #noexcuses #CrazyCatholicFacts
