How will the evolving partnership in space between the UK and the US shape the future of global space launches? The longstanding collaboration between the UK and the US in space ventures is expanding, notably with initiatives like the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability network and the Skynet 5 military satellite communications program. These projects, among others, signify a deepening relationship aimed at enhancing space defense capabilities and satellite technology. While the US continues its tradition of heavy investment in space, supported by private enterprises, the UK is rapidly advancing its space sector ambitions. This dynamic collaboration, underscored by differences in budget and strategy, is setting the stage for future space launches. With the UK aiming to expand its presence in space and the US providing substantial support, how might this partnership influence the trajectory of international space exploration and satellite deployment strategies? #launches #space #us #us https://lnkd.in/ebFHsqgw

Rogue Space Systems Corporation, a leading innovator in space operations and logistics, has been selected by the United States Space Force (USSF) to contribute to the Rapid Resilient Command and Control (R2C2) program. The company is among 20 small businesses awarded the initial $12 million in delivery orders under this initiative. 'We are honored to be part of the R2C2 program and contribute to the modernization of Space Force logistical operations,' said Jon Beam, CEO of Rogue Space Systems. 'This opportunity allows us to showcase our innovative solutions and collaborate with other industry leaders to enhance the responsiveness of satellite operations.' The R2C2 program aims to develop a cloud-based satellite operations infrastructure, providing military operators with enhanced flexibility to command and reposition satellites. This infrastructure will support critical ground segment software for dynamic USSF satellites, enabling key functions such as Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) planning, antenna brokering, telemetry, tracking, and command. Rogue Space Systems is eager to collaborate with other small businesses participating in the R2C2 program. These collaborations foster dynamic exchanges of ideas and expertise, driving innovation and ensuring the successful modernization of satellite logistical operations. The R2C2 program's Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle is capped at $1 billion over a five-to-seven-year ordering period. These initial delivery orders are designed to position small businesses like Rogue Space Systems to compete for future contracts aimed at advancing Space Force operations. #spaceforce #r2c2 #satellite #operations #logistics #innovation #smallbusiness

General Chance Saltzman, Chief of Space Operations in the United States Space Force, recently proposed “Competitive Endurance” as a theory of Space Force success. Competitive Endurance has three core tenets: Avoiding operational surprise, denying adversaries a first-mover advantage in space, and implementing responsible counterspace campaigns. In essence, the theory of Competitive Endurance rests on the U.S. Space Force’s ability to provide actionable space domain awareness (SDA), achieve resiliency, and field capabilities that protect the Joint Force from space-enabled attack.
