🤷♀️ Cliche but true: Teamwork makes the dream work. I love my team at work. They are rockstars - every single one of them working hard and holding each other accountable as we strive for new heights. We recently experienced a few ups and downs within the company and team structures, and are now celebrating a new Senior Graphic Designer and summer intern who joined our special band of marketing "madness". And guess what? The team dynamic is stronger than ever. And we're on track to deliver the most innovative and robust marketing solutions the company has seen in any 12-month period, with the exception of our marketing team launch in 2016. That’s no coincidence or happy mistake. It’s all by design. If you’re involved in recruiting for your teams (and listen up, fellow senior leaders - if you’re not, you should be!), you know that creating high-performing teams is tough. Here are some thoughts and tips for recruiting top-tier talent. Whether you’re in marketing like me or leading any other function, these principles hold true. 1. Passion Over Existing Skills Look for that spark of passion in your candidates. Skills can be taught, but genuine enthusiasm is innate. Someone truly passionate will go above and beyond to excel in their role. 2. Potential Matters Don’t just focus on what candidates have done. Consider what they could achieve with the right support and opportunities. Raw talent and ambition are the seeds of future success. 3. Personality Fit Building a cohesive team means finding people whose personalities complement each other and align with your company’s values. Look for candidates who have the right skills and share your team’s vibe. Last thing: Make sure you have a safe and supportive environment for your team members—both new and existing—to collaborate, learn, and grow together. This will set the foundation for long-term success from day one. Here’s to building amazing teams together! 🙌 #Recruiting #TeamBuilding #Leadership

A lot of new graduates are pretty down on the ID job market right now. Things are tough. What do you think they need to hear? Either as someone who's going through it now or someone who's been there. I'll start: the portfolio you graduate with usually isn't the one that gets you a job. It takes understanding your "user" (your ideal employer), identifying their needs, and then tailoring your work to those needs. I spent about 6 months revamping my portfolio to tell the story I wanted while working my last internship and some contract gigs before I got...yet another internship BUT in an area and industry I wanted to be in. Now, who's hiring in ID this week? Modern Sprout MANSCAPED Motorola Solutions Whirlpool Corporation LiveTrends Design Group And many more. Check them all out on the site! P.S. I use the front page of Just ID Jobs to promote the work of students and young designers. This week's featured image is by Philipp Seißler Want to submit an image? Send a 1920x1080 image that is <1MB and a link to your website to a+justidjobs@anson.design - 🖥️ Just ID Jobs aggregates industrial design jobs from around the web and organizes them in one, easy-to-search place. 🛠️ No UX. No interior design. No engineering. Just ID. 🔔 See new ID jobs daily and sign up for email alerts on justidjobs [dot] com

A few years back, as an intern, I was knee-deep in design work and mastered the art of motion graphics among other technical skills. However, as my career evolved, I gradually transitioned into more strategic and management roles, while newer interns took on the design responsibilities I once thrived in. Recently, I revisited motion graphics and found myself staring blankly at the software, struggling with techniques that once felt instinctual. It wasn’t an overnight loss of skill—it was gradual, almost imperceptible, yet undeniable. We often chase new technical skills, but what happens to the ones that grow rusty? In our quest for quantity over quality, we might overlook the value of refining our existing talents. Now, I’m diving back into the world of motion graphics, reclaiming lost ground and reigniting that creative spark. It’s a powerful reminder that learning-decay is real and the learning curve is endless. How do you prevent your skills from gathering dust? #learning #motiongraphics #graphicdesign #adobe #intern #continuouslearning #technicalskills #skill

This was one of my last entries in my 2017 Planner. Between thesis preparation and internships, it was a roller coaster of a year. I wanted to make sure I had better guidance for the new year, so I wrote down these rules: 1️⃣ Hold yourself accountable at all times; don't be too afraid or too proud to admit your mistakes 2️⃣ If time isn't a factor, stay longer and give more. Better to spend your time putting in extra effort than wondering what you could've accomplished 3️⃣ Don't set high expectations for things you can't control. In situations of that nature, it's best to remain patient & present If you look closely, you can faintly see 'TAMPA' in giant letters. My 2018 bucket list was on the next page 💪🏼❤️ It’s satisfying how my past self’s insight still applies so strongly to the present day. It’s even more satisfying to look back on everything those rules got me through. ⇣ ⇣ ⇣ DM to find out how we can work together 📥 If you’re new here, or just stumbled across this post: I'm Mark, a Tampa-based branding designer ⚡️ I post about brand identity, design and self-improvement. 🔓 As a dedicated connector, my inbox is constantly buzzing with DMs and texts from connections seeking talent or opportunities. It's a whirlwind, a constant flow of potential waiting to be unlocked. 🚀 Is this level of engagement typical? Not exactly. But for me, it's become the norm. Witnessing the sparks fly as connections are forged and careers propelled forward is both exhilarating and fulfilling. With a track record of facilitating successful hires and placements, I've unwittingly adopted the role of a "hobby recruiter" – driven not by financial gain, but by the desire to make a meaningful impact. 📋 So, let's cut to the chase. Here's a curated list of opportunities and talents currently on my radar: 💼 Opportunity: Sales Assistant in NJ 💼 Opportunity: Associate Designer in midtown NYC (apparel background required) 💼 Opportunity: Designer in midtown NYC (apparel background required) 🔍Talent Seeking Opportunities: College student in the NYC metro area, studying graphic design and actively seeking a summer internship (fluent in Adobe Illustrator!) 🔗 Now, here's the question: are you the missing link in these connections? Reach out and let's find out if you're the one I should connect!

Congratulations to Cristian Pena, Production Coordinator, on her 10-year work anniversary! Learn more about her time with us below. ▪ What has motivated you to stay at the company for so many years? Some of the things that have motivated me to stay with the company are the work atmosphere, growth prospects, and effective management. We have a collaborative setting that fuels creativity and promotes teamwork, enabling me to excel in my role. With such a supportive framework in place, I feel motivated to contribute my best and continue growing within the organization. ▪ What roles and responsibilities have you held over the last 10 years? I began my journey at the company as a photo editor intern, where I learned the importance of the workflow of the editing team. After my internship, I became a full-time photo editor ensuring high-quality visuals for various projects. Within a couple of years, I transitioned to the role of Photo Editor Administrator, and it allowed me to enhance my communication skills and organizational abilities. Currently, I am a Production Coordinator, making sure everything flows smoothly between different teams in our company. ▪ What are some of the biggest changes you’ve seen within WebstaurantStore? One of the first things I learned at Web was to embrace change. From enhancing employee spaces, such as the break room and expanding work areas like the photo studio, to embracing new trends, like adding 3D models to the website and implementing AI technology, Webstaurant is always adapting to improve both customer and employee experiences. Additionally, I’ve seen the continuous creation of new job roles to meet specific needs. I think that highlights the company's commitment to growth and innovation.

𝐏𝐏𝐓 𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐔𝐩𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩: [🚨Important] 1. Use professional fonts such as Poppins, Roboto, etc., and avoid default fonts like Arial, Calibri, etc., as they are too common and don't give a polished look. (Designers ki Pasand) 2. Take pictures during field visits and add a slide in your presentation showcasing the efforts you put in on-field. (Managers ki Pasand) 3. Incorporate the company/brand's logo and select colors from it to give your presentation a more professional and cohesive appearance. (Brand Managers ki Pasand) 4. Familiarize yourself with PowerPoint features such as Slide Zoom, Icons, 3D Models, etc., as they are essential. I'll share a list in the upcoming posts. Connect with Yash Prasad (Managers ki Pasand) 5. Request your seniors who received a pre-placement offer (PPO) to share their presentations; this can provide valuable insights. (Yash ka gyaan) 6. Don't forget to include your college's logo to enhance credibility. It's beneficial to have a strong secondary brand association. (Yash ka gyaan) 7. Watch videos from Analyst Academy as they offer valuable insights. I'll share more resources in future posts. (Yash ka gyaan) Feel free to reach out to me via DM if you need any assistance. I have also created a template for you to look over. Link:- https://bit.ly/ppt_yashpd Picture: Me with my co-interns after Day 1 of my summer internship.
