Great back-and-forth between panellists Jakub Dvořáček, Béatrice Marquez, Janina Hahnloser, Richard Forde and Milan Maly at #IPPC2024 panel 3 on SoHO's role in improving plasma collection in Europe. This well-rounded discussion was moderated by Vasiliki Angouridi and explored how to best implement the EU SoHO regulation's specific monitoring plans for plasma donors, including the possibility of "relevant health indicators" to ensure both effective execution and the well-being of donors. As Jakub Dvořáček shared, there are cultural differences among plasma donor and there is no one-size fits all solution. There are patients waiting for treatments; this is where we should focus. Milan Maly, also pointed out that "the most important step is to maintain transparency in the decision making processes while implementing the regulation on national level and in setting the quality and safety rules. You cannot have successful result if you leave industry out of the discussion." #PlasmaProteins #PatientCare #DonorHealth #EUNeedsMorePlasma #SoHORegulation
