Time to fill in new shoes and GIVE back to the tech ecosystem and our country. We kicked off the new Board at the Unicorns Lithuania. Congratulations and thank you Arnas Stuopelis for taking a lead as a Chair of the Board. We made a commitment and will run with focus on pushing the boundaries of: 1. Community building - lead by Gabriele M., Rytis Lauris 🇺🇦, Toma Sabaliauskienė, Arnas Stuopelis 2. Education - lead by Rytis Lauris 🇺🇦, Mantas Mikuckas, Mantas Katinas 3. Policy & Business environment - lead by me, Mantas Mikuckas, Mantas Katinas Fellow members of the association - any insights of changes required in business regulation that will enable tech industry growth - let's talk. We can make a difference, so let's get together with each of the members & stakeholders and let's push the change in the country. Lithuania is more than ready to make another giant progress leap. Let's go!
Congratulations and all the best to the new board. Re business regulations to encourage early stage tech investments - I believe joined effort is needed to ensure than business angels do not suffer from the double taxation, when they form syndicates (unfortunate case today). I have brought the matter to the Capital Markets Board, LT VCA and LitBAN already wrote detailed arguments, not heard by policy makers yet. No need for any new changes in laws, just proper interpretation of existing one. Putting substance before the form.

Awesome Agne Selemonaite! What you said - conscious diversity-driven INVESTING and HIRING strategy within the Startup Ecosystem. I’m sure you’re on it. - On the topic, my morning reads from a Europen Women VCs newsletter says that “each 10% point increase in diversity is associated with a 1.3% point increase in IRR”. So cheers to that and thank you for asking 🙌

Looking great! Maybe one thing you can take out of France's book of subsidies is employee training credits. Companies pay social security and other employer/employee social charges, why not have the government allocate a portion for upskilling/training/coaching their staff? (If this exists already, awesome)
