Ladner, a small Lower Mainland town set within the larger, fast-growing municipality of Delta, B.C., is starting to get a taste of higher density development more common among its neighbours, reported Real Estate News Exchange (RENX). "Updates to zoning rules in Ladner and to Delta's Official Community Plan mean the small city of 23,000 people is starting to see larger condo developments proposed and approved, say stakeholders focused on building and selling new homes in the riverside town." "The concept of multifamily housing has rarely been available in Ladner Village in the past, but now Headwater Projects is pre-selling a six-storey condo and commercial building called Bridge & Elliott." https://lnkd.in/gZEspWuK #ladner #development #mixeduse

We are really excited about this project, which offers the potential to deliver 15 sustainable homes in a great location. All of the homes across Laxton Properties' developments are A-rated at EPC, with solar panels and Air Source Heat Pumps as standard. It costs us more to hit the A rating, but we just think it is the right thing to do. We have designed this project to facilitate the use of Modern Methods of Construction as part of our ongoing journey towards even greater sustainability, with an eye towards carbon neutrality in the future.
Following a positive pre-app discussion and encouraging Public Consultation Laxton Properties is pleased to have submitted a planning application for 15 homes to replace the vacant Chiltern View Care Home in Stone, near Aylesbury. The redevelopment of this brownfield site will provide a mix of 3 and 4 bedroom properties, together with retained landscaping and a new area of Public Open Space to benefit the wider community. Thanks to the consultant team for their hard work, including Ioana Wiggins, Julian Buttel and Paul Smith. Having purchased the site unconditionally in September we are looking forward to working pro-actively with the officers at Buckinghamshire Council to secure planning permission and start delivering these homes within the coming months. https://lnkd.in/eCNQ2ntq
