Simplicity wins this Q4 one thing that we've seen over the years is the power of clear offers BFCM can be equated to 'pressure' and because of that, teams can often feel the need to OVER compensate to feel like they're 'doing enough' but really, the work comes in understanding your audience and once you know that, most of the work is done tiered discounts, complicated offer structures will hurt you most people who buy from you during BFCM already have some awareness of your brand - so all you need is a solid offer and strategy to execute most of the time - this is a flat discount, gift with purchase, or simple volume based discounts so before you go ahead and make that jenga-like BFCM offer remember that complexity means confusion - and confused consumers don't part with their cash simplicity wins this Q4

Get Creative and Make It Personal! To really shine during BFCM, get creative. Try things like limited edition products, free gifts with a purchase, contests, special holiday bundles, or tiered discounts that grow with the more someone buys. In between your sale emails, give your customers helpful content like gift guides and product recommendations. This builds trust and helps them with their shopping too. Personalize your messages for each customer group. A repeat customer might get a different message than someone who’s just looking. This can make your customers feel special and boost sales. Not to stress you out, but... BFCM is right around the corner 🫣 And while you might be in a rush to finalize your plans, we've got more advice to help you out. One thing you should consider: Every store has a segment of customers who are about to lapse, and you’re probably not getting them back once they do. This segment is often overlooked amid BFCM hype, but there’s an opportunity hiding here. Here’s the strategy: ✅ Identify your at-risk customers. Repeat can help here: you might want to build a segment of customers who received our “About To Lapse” trigger in the last 30 days. ✅ Make sure they get messaging about your biggest BFCM discounts. Or, better yet, create a discount just for them that’s bigger than your other offers—it’s your last chance to get them to buy again. ✅ Wait until the sales peak has passed, then hit them with a campaign. If they didn’t bite when they got the rest of your BFCM messaging, it’s time to make them an offer they can’t refuse. Many customers are just waiting for a compelling reason to return.
