The International Women's Health and Human Rights course provides a comprehensive understanding of the challenges women face in maintaining health and managing their lives in the face of societal pressures and obstacles.
The course covers a wide range of issues, including son preference, education, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, violence in the home and in war and refugee circumstances, women's work, sex trafficking, and aging. It also emphasizes the importance of economic, social, political, and human rights factors in women's health and well-being.
One of the reasons I took this course is because I believe that everyone has a significant role to play in ensuring that women's rights are respected and protected. Accordingly, this engaging and interactive course has provided me with a valuable opportunity to deepen my knowledge and skills in promoting and defending women's rights. More than anything else, the course has opened my eyes to a lot of issues that women are facing in our society by virtue of being female- from birth to their aging phase.
