Christmas should be a time of joy, not heartbreak. But sadly, it’s when many senior dogs find themselves abandoned in shelters. 💔 Their “family” chose a Christmas puppy over them. 😞 Here’s the reality: Puppies are adorable, but they’re also a huge responsibility—time, training, patience, and money. And for senior dogs who’ve given their families a lifetime of loyalty? A puppy’s energy can be overwhelming, leading some families to make the unthinkable choice to give up their senior companion. 💡 Before making a puppy (or any age of dog) a Christmas surprise, let’s think responsibly: 🐶 Consider the lifetime commitment—not just the holiday joy. 🐕 Visit local shelters and rescues to find the right fit. 🐾 Remember: Adding a dog to your family is a decision of love, not impulse. Read our latest blog to learn more about being a thoughtful, responsible dog parent this holiday season. Together, we can make a difference for dogs of all ages. 💜 📖 Read our Blog here: https://lnkd.in/esU7NuPt #dogsarefamily #seniorpupsaturday #happyholidays #seniordogs

Some Do's and Don'ts of feeding community cats: ✔️ DO feed in out-of-the-way locations where cats are comfortable 🚫 DO NOT feed near foot traffic and busy roads ✔️ DO feed at around the same time every day 🚫 DO NOT feed at different times and locations (that makes trapping for #TNR more difficult) ✔️ DO feed cats out of bowls 🚫 DO NOT feed cats out of cans (they can cut their tongues on them!) ✔️ DO pick up uneaten food after ~30 minutes 🚫 DO NOT scatter food on the ground and leave it Learn more tips and tricks at alleycat.org/CatCare

1.Misconceptions can occur: People assumed the dog was dead, highlighting how easily misconceptions can arise when not thoroughly assessed. 2. Importance of empathy: This situation emphasizes the significance of showing empathy and stopping to check on those in trouble, whether human or animal. 3. Taking action: Taking a moment to investigate and provide assistance can make a positive impact and potentially save a life, as seen in the dog's case. 4. Preventing regrets: Avoid the regret of not helping when you could have. Small actions can lead to meaningful outcomes. 5. Community responsibility: Looking out for others fosters a sense of community and compassion, creating a more caring environment for everyone. follow me Muhammad Ahsan #kindness #help #helpinghands #empthy

But a little love and care can go a long way in ensuring their well-being and happiness. 🐶💕 Whether it's providing food and water, offering shelter during harsh weather, or simply showing them kindness and compassion, each small act of love makes a world of difference to these gentle souls. 🏡✨ Let's come together as a community to spread awareness and advocate for the rights and welfare of street dogs. Let's show them that they are not alone, and that they are valued members of our society deserving of our love and respect. 💫🐾 Share in the comments how you've made a positive impact on the lives of street dogs, or tag someone who inspires you to show kindness to animals. At Legacy, we believe small actions create big impact. This year’s Legacy holiday card contained $10 for each recipient to use however they’d like to spread goodwill and pay it forward. Whether that’s buying someone a blanket or a warm meal, treats for the animal shelter, or an extra tip for a hard-working bartender, it’s up to each person to decide how they use their $10 for Good. We hope you will join us in spreading kindness this holiday season. Your actions can inspire others to make a difference too. Share your holiday giving story below and keep an eye out for future posts containing more chronicles of goodwill. Happy Holidays from Legacy! #LegacyTenBucksForGood #ExperienceLegacy #GivingSeason
