I am so proud of the people at Garner Products! They launched a revolutionary product that took over the internet, at least the internet for the ITAD world! This is one of the coolest things I've seen and it's because they nailed the innovation process. Aside from the hundred things they did well with this release, they nailed one thing in a huge way. Product Market Fit - They saw a massive need in the e-recycling space. - They did their homework by talking to current customers, industry leaders and leveraging their intimate knowledge of end-of-life data sanitization and destruction. - They were relentless about the design, engineering and manufacturing - They knew this product would not only solve a problem for their customers and future customers but play a massive role in recycling rare earth materials. Back on April 4th, a single article was published from a relatively small e-recycling site. From there, the news of this product spread globally. As of today, there are 100,000 Google search listings in over 25 languages for the DiskMantler. There were zero on April 3rd. They own Google for that product name and for the time being, they own the HDD disassembly category. Yes, that earned media has created a deluge of inquiries and conversations. In the rich history of Schmits, it would be strange to deny that we had some of them as well. For instance an order that we forgot to process. Of course, no one intends for an error to occur. The best you can do? Turn them into happy little accidents.   Happy little accidents were popularized by TV Artist Bob Ross. They occur when one is open to experimentation, playing, employing a mindset open to embracing the unexpected. The bottom line is to embrace them and turn them into opportunities for growth and creativity.   Our mission is to be the best, most flexible and most reliable partner. This can only be operationalized by the willingness of our employees to learn from rocky roads on a daily basis.
