As we wrap up 2024, the Angle Auto Finance Executive Team spent some time giving back. The team made 374 meals to support Meal’s with Impact who create employment opportunities for Women of Migrant and Refugee backgrounds and provide culturally appropriate food relief. It was a fabulous team event whilst doing the right thing to support the communities in which we live and work.
On behalf of Angle Auto we would like to wish all of our people, customers and shareholders a restful and safe holiday season and a healthy and successful 2025.

Sometimes, it is easy to overlook that behind every hard hat, steering wheel, or set of work boots is a person with their own story, someone who might be carrying more than they let on. That is why Daniel Allen and Edward Ross, the co-founders of TIACS, created this service to support people like Stacey, a truck driver from Pilbara who was going through his own challenges.
Stacey shared his experience in a testimonial. Long hours, isolation, and the pressure of the job made it hard to know where to turn. His story is one of many we hear every day. Each one is unique, but they all share a common theme. Sometimes, it helps to have someone there to listen.
The question is, who are the Staceys in your workplace? The quiet ones who show up day after day, doing their job while keeping everything inside. In industries like transport, construction, and agriculture, it is not uncommon for workers to carry life’s challenges silently. That does not mean they do not need support. It just means they might need to know it is okay to reach out.
Looking out for the people you work with is more than just ensuring the job gets done. It is about creating an environment where they feel seen and supported, where reaching out for help feels like a natural step. Services like TIACS exist to make that step easier, offering free and confidential counselling to truckies, tradies, farmers, blue collar workers and their loved ones.
Dan and Ed started TIACS because they believe no one should feel like they have to face life’s pressures alone. Their vision was to create a space where blue-collar workers could talk openly and without judgment, knowing that help is just a call or text away. It is a service that is already making a real difference in lives like Stacey’s.
As you think about your workplace, take a moment to consider who might need that extra support.
Let’s keep looking out for one another and remind our workmates that support is always within reach. To learn more about how TIACS can help, visit TIACS.org. Together, we can create a culture where everyone feels valued, heard, and supported.

°Unethical Practices at °flybig °
I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience with Flybig, a company I once worked for with dedication. Despite serving my full 3-month notice period and completing all formalities, my final month’s salary (October 2024) has not been paid.
What’s worse, the company has also failed to deposit my Provident Fund contributions from the very beginning of my tenure. This is not just unethical but also a clear violation of employee rights.
Multiple emails and calls have gone unanswered, and it is disheartening to see how employees, both current and former, are treated when it comes to their rightful dues. Such practices reflect poorly on the company’s values and reputation.
I am sharing this to raise awareness among professionals and job seekers who might consider joining Flybig. Companies that fail to honor their obligations towards employees should be held accountable.
I urge Flybig to take immediate action to resolve this matter and pay my dues without further delay. It’s time companies stop exploiting employees and start practicing the ethics they preach.

Working close to cofounders has shown me the true price of running and building organisations.
Their work never stops, even after the working day ends.
This has removed some guilt from how hard I work.
Building takes a different level of commitment than maintaining.

Every journey starts with a single step, and sometimes the road less traveled can lead to the greatest rewards.
I was recently inspired by an article discussing the financial benefits of a career in truck driving. It’s a field that often doesn’t get the recognition it deserves, shining a light on those who drive our economy forward. There are countless individuals who have transformed their lives through truck driving, finding not just a job, but a fulfilling career that offers stability and adventure.
For instance, consider those who pivoted to trucking after facing job losses or seeking better opportunities. Many have shared how their income skyrocketed, allowing them to provide for their families while also enjoying the flexibility that comes with the job. The article emphasizes that the trucking industry is in high demand, and with that comes the potential for a sustainable future.
The key takeaway is that pursuing a career in truck driving can provide financial security, a supportive community, and the opportunity to explore new places.
If you have experiences or insights about life on the road or career pivots, I’d love to hear your stories! Share them in the comments to inspire others. https://lnkd.in/etMtAt5Z

#Entrepreneurship has given me many opportunities, but the most valuable by far has been the time and flexibility to shape my work schedule. At Prizm Insurance, we’re fostering a culture that prioritizes this same freedom for our team. Just the other day, I spent the day golfing and later skated with my son on our backyard quarter pipes (photo below). Yet by 9pm, I was catching up on emails and completing tasks that had to be done.
Does it really matter WHEN the work is completed, as long as it's done by the deadline? Should it matter whether someone works at 6am, 1pm, or 9pm? Personally, I don't think so. While I understand that some roles require specific hours, many don't, and if we have the ability to offer flexibility, why wouldn't we? Ultimately, don’t we want our employees to feel empowered to live life on their own terms? I certainly do.

Today, on #CarersRightsDay, we recognise the invaluable contributions of unpaid carers in our communities and workplaces. 🫂
Carers UK reports that every day, approximately 12,000 individuals in the UK will become unpaid carers, balancing their professional responsibilities with caring for loved ones.
This dual role can lead to significant challenges, including increased stress and potential burnout. Research indicates that 75% of working carers worry about managing both work and care, and about 600 people leave the workforce every day to focus entirely on caring. 👷♂️
At Ripple&Co, we are committed to helping businesses build workplaces that truly support carers. By implementing flexible working arrangements and practical initiatives, employers can retain valued staff and foster a more inclusive environment.

Does your organization have the same picture as you see? You may see your strategy perfectly clear but how do you make it clear to your organization? How do you verify it’s clear and how do you follow up?
This is among other things the reason why you shouldn’t just wing it.
