Day 5: #PSAAW Post separation abuse is too often disbelieved, minimised, or ignored... Mostly, those being subjected to it are blamed by services, told to ignore it, move on, or stop reporting!!! Would you say that if they were still living with the abuser??? To clarify, none of it should EVER be said. It is victim blaming and something that over 67%of people subjected to PSA have also had. This enables the perpetrator to further and silence the victim-survivor, yet it is the MOST dangerous time for them!! The version of someone you see is not always who they truly are!! Please male sure you are educated on all areas of abuse and reality!! We must create a society where abuse is NEVER tolerated, ignored, pr minimised and that there are prevention, protection, and accountability!! Thank you to all those who hear, believe, validate, and protect, we need more of you 🙏 🎗 #post #separation #abuse #victimblaming #victimblamingiswrong #awareness #awarenessweek #educate #ongoing #dangerous #breakthesilence #silencing #wrong #highlight #raiseawareness #8stages #understanding #validation #prevention #protection #accountability #deterrent #neverok

Stop sugarcoating abuse with excuses. Here’s why: 💡Normalizing phrases like “it’s just how they are” prevents victims from realizing they’re in danger. 💡Abuse thrives in silence, especially when disguised as “normal behavior.” 💡The first step to ending abuse is naming it. 40% of abuse victims don’t recognize the signs until it’s too late. Stop minimizing. Start calling abuse what it is. Tag a friend who needs to read this. #abuse #domesticviolence #speakout #supportsurvivors #awarenessmatters #theresawilliamsfoundations
