Museo Galileo published a webpage (link in the comments) with an interactive exploration of the world map created by Fra Mauro around 1450 AD. It shows the cosmographic and geographic space, highlighting different parts of the world, the locations visited by Marco Polo, legendary places, and a lost treatise on cosmography. A little teaser from our generative AV performance 𝘛𝘐𝘔𝘌, 𝘍𝘖𝘙𝘊𝘌 𝘈𝘕𝘋 𝘚𝘗𝘈𝘊𝘌 at last week's 𝘌𝘊𝘖𝘚𝘚 2024 in Barcelona; a collaboration between 𝘈𝘒𝘠𝘜𝘛𝘌 (Natalia Gima, Magdalena Hart), Daphne Xanthopoulou, Nona Siepmann A collaborative project, started in 2022, that explores how digital interaction influences the body and our artistic practices. Inspired by Adorno and Horkheimer’s critique of the disenchantment of the world in Dialectic of Enlightenment (1947), where the end of animistic beliefs and technical domination replaced the spirit with a world subject to technical measurements and economic valuations. Our project questions these dynamics, proposing a dialogue between the body and technology, and how they influence each other and generate new forms of expression. We ask how bodies and technology can redefine our relationship with the world.
