There is an election coming up now is less than a year
The reality is clear
The way to secure a low CO2 energy future and achieve the huge emissions targets imposed by others ,is nuclear in the total mix of energy sources
Without destroying our economy and prosperity
So it Is to change the government
Because the Bowen and Albanese green’s coalition government will destroy what we have all built to satisfy their deep, socialist agenda
Whilst propaganda may seem like a politically advantageous strategy in the short term, in the long term the consequences of what we're seeing playing out are grave.
What does this do to public trust in ANSTO (Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation) that is already successfully operating in Sydney and our ability to produced nuclear medicine products and services?

The Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) produces thousands of doses of nuclear medicine each week, mainly from its research reactor at Lucas Heights in Sydney. These isotopes are used in medical diagnosis, treatment and pain relief. If you’ve ever had a scan for cancer or heart disease, you’ve likely benefited from the work of ANSTO.
However, ANSTO recognises it faces a problem with its radioactive waste. Running out of space, ANSTO is spending $60m on new temporary storage at Lucas Heights, as well as $9.5m in operating expenses this financial year alone just to manage the radioactive waste it stores on-site.
Successive commonwealth governments have been looking for a final disposal solution to the low-level radioactive waste (LLW) issue for more than 50 years. More than $111m was spent on the proposal for a permanent repository at Kimba, in South Australia, before the project was abandoned last year. Notwithstanding, the Australian Radioactive Waste Agency still retains a budget of more than $400m for a potential future site.
The good news is there is a solution. Since Tellus gained its licence to receive LLW at Sandy Ridge in January last year, we have safely and permanently disposed of around 6,000 cubic metres of LLW. Sandy Ridge could receive much of the waste currently stored by ANSTO now.
It’s little wonder Jenny Ware MP, whose federal seat of Hughes includes Lucas Heights, is concerned at the problem of ANSTO’s backlog of LLW.
Last week she raised the issue in Question Time. https://lnkd.in/gsG7xFGZ
And in his response, the Prime Minister is spot-on in remarking that the issue of ANSTO’s radioactive waste “has not been landed by this Parliament”.

In Question Time this week, I asked the Prime Minister about the future storage of medical nuclear waste in Australia. Not only did the PM fail to answer the question, but he also failed to display an understanding of our local area and the importance of our nuclear medicine industry and the lifesaving work carried out at Lucas Heights.

UPDATE : OPAL Reactor Maintenance Extended to End of September
ANSTO informed Nuclear Medicine Europe that the OPAL #reactor will resume service at the end of September due to the complex task of replacing and reconnecting the Cold Neutron Source (CNS).
After OPAL's return, a 10-day irradiation and processing period is needed before #nuclearmedicine distribution can begin.
Nuclear Medicine Europe (and its Emergency Response Team) reports no expected #supply disruptions and will update as needed.

We're about halfway through Nuclear Medicine Week!
Let's keep it rolling by introducing you to Chris. He appreciates that nuclear medicine isn't a guessing game, it's precise and personalized.
We couldn't do this without you, Chris!

Happy nuclear medicine week!
This morning I am reviewing instrumentation slides on gamma cameras. This is a thyroid study image showing a star like effect. This is common with I-131 studies, because higher energy is still going to have more penetration even with mitigation of a high energy collimator.
Do you know what this star like feedback is called?
Answer: Septal penetration ⭐️
