Happy nuclear medicine week! This morning I am reviewing instrumentation slides on gamma cameras. This is a thyroid study image showing a star like effect. This is common with I-131 studies, because higher energy is still going to have more penetration even with mitigation of a high energy collimator. Do you know what this star like feedback is called?
